  1. Free roofs rock!! Thats badass! I say congrats man, talk about perfect timing!! Guess fate wants you to save your money for something else;)
  2. Yes, exactly - by grip length I was talking bottom of the slide to the bottom of the mag. Seems every gun I grab leaves an inch or 2 of my hand hangin' off the bottom of the grip making it difficult for me to feel comfortable and shoot consistently.
  3. Cool, I will definitely look into the M&P and maybe snag an XDM to shoot against it before committing to one - definitely getting a new shotgun this year but havent been much of a handgun guy - hunted in my younger years with bow, shotgun, rifle, and primitive but never kept my weapons long, tended to trade up a lot and the .38 special was my last trade from a single bolt 30.06 - now all my bows, shotguns, rifles are gone......miss my youth, if only i could go back and talk myself out of getting rid of it all - countless muzzleloaders, rifles, shotguns (dad was a bit of a gunsmith, so I got spoiled;)) I would've had enough now to probably get a new truck or a couple new bikes.......hindsight seems to take a big, bloody bite out of my ass sometimes, but thats just part of life's irony when living and learning the harder lessons. All good though, I got some cash stashed away to get back into some sweet new state-of-the-art firepower soon.......then all I need is a 10 acre stick of wooded real estate to shoot for free anytime the mood strikes:D:D:D Thanks for the input fella's
  4. Seriously, if not the M then what other big fisted firearm do you recommend? If I had a case of penis envy (which I dont) then I'd have RedJacket build me a one-handed mini gun.....but all I'm after here is advise on a big handed .40
  5. Again, I want the M due to XTRA GRIP LENGTH, my palms are wide and fortified with thick knuckled fists that enhance jawbreaking capabilities over my competition :D but we're talking about the real thing here, not "gunshow" hammers.... Didnt realize a failure to understand that there are larger men on this rock, and of these larger men comes the desire.....nay, the NEED for compromise within the consumer industries that demand there be larger options available to us less we be forced to sue you scrawny fucks!!
  6. Heard a lot of good things about XD9's but would rather a .40 since my wife plans to carry a compact .40 and we could share ammo. Whats the concensus on the new XDM .40 mega-capacity as far as personal experiences - testing reviews show it props but I'm looking for something to fit my big meathook of a hand - seems this model looks promising especially coming from a pro company - and are there any other larger gripped, QUALITY models I should consider in the $600-700 range? I dont want a revolver, have a cute little .38 special now. I like having 16-17 shot capacity vs. 6 round reloads
  7. My Tacoma came with Dunlop AT20's - they were crap after 40k, so I went with Goodyear Wrangler SA's and they hook great in most any environment - only have about 20k on 'em so far, but I put a lot highway mileage more than anything else, '08 truck with 60k in 2 yrs (new leftover early '09) I dig 'em and the semi-agressive tread pattern is surprisingly quiet on the road (kevlar belting;))
  8. If my seat was like that, I'd rub it down with pinetar or some other tacky conditioner or possibly even rough it up with some sandpaper? ( not my first choice ) -- but it's gotta be hard to stay in the saddle when your ass is sliding front to back all the time. Can't believe Corbin would put out a motorcycle seat that was slippery?!?!
  9. If it's leather ( and not pleather ) use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner -- I wonder what the guy put on it? Did you ask him why it was so slipery or is it just that the leather's surface texture is slick?

I've noticed the same thing........the wife wanted to get her bike out last night so we went for a little 35 mile jog around Piqua, Sidney, and Covington -- some of the better roads are really cracking apart and makes it difficult to enjoy the country riding when you're always looking out for debris, holes, tarsnakes, etc. I used to think Miami country was pretty good at taking care of the backroads, but I'm sadly mistaken
  11. Just another brainless Craigslist lump of fat trying to sell something that doesn't exist......well.......not in the really real world anyway
  12. Maybe its a stunt thing.....then they can get a grab in a circle wheelie? Are the exhaust cans short, piepan sized sprockets? with scraped tails or 12 bars? If so, bet its a stunt thing.......or there's a one-armed thief on the loose!! :D:D
  13. Hell, I hope not.......I've had my daughter on the back of mine busting 150mph wheelies while she jumped from the tail, heelclickin' over my head and double-birdflipping every car......but at least we were both wearing proper bodystockings and regulation matching headbands
  14. Figured that, but wasn't sure what trackers liked to run with regular gearing changes between different tracks or if you guys carried several chains to accommodate different gearing without changing your wheelbase.........then again, safety first!! I never run a clip link on any of my bikes, past / present / future
  15. Nice! Practice makes uhh......perfect? Just be aware of traffic and debris from ALL angles since you can get really comfortable with riding a particular route to and from work, but conditions change regularly.......there was a big meat-patty remains of a deer on the Interstate this morning when I rode to work......almost went through it, but luckily I ride one side or the other and not down the middle of the lane - so crisis averted with a simple and quick countersteer. Mainly, remember to always ride within your skillset AND line-of-sight........when cars change lanes, I don't ride behind them long before switching only because debris can be kicked up from a car - and you cannot see what's in/on the road ahead with a car in your path.......kudo's for stepping up the riding level!!
  16. I'd take advantage of the moment and press fit a rivet-link in place of the clip link -- unless this is for a trackbike??
  17. I'd like to extend my most heartfelt gratitude to all of you that serve for our beloved country, and who protect our rights to ride free and bear arms!!

^^This!! I've been wearing blue mirrored safety glasses to ride for years now.......get some impact resistance along with good eyeball protection from fast winds!! AND, if I lose them I'm only out about $15
  19. I keep an empty 105lb steel Mobil oil barrel in the corner of my garage that I use for waste oil all year long.....once it's full, I strap it into the back of my truck and bring it to work to pump out into our waste oil tank. Usually takes a good year to fill it between the car, the truck, dirtbike, 2 streetbikes, riding mower, and push mower, snowblower, rototiller.
  20. Thanx for the linx bro.......I'll definitely forward these on to him -- for now he's attempting to sand it all back down and spot weld the rust pits and grind before resealing WITHOUT painting it first:D:D Hopefully it seals this time since he'd just invested a few hundred into the paintjob only to find gas bubbles forming on top of the tank
