  6. .. in the RAIN, when he passed everyone and actually won the race? i think that was Valencia. Fucking amazing. However, he needs to mature/adjust and will probably DNF enough times to drop out of contention for the championship. But it'll be fun to watch in the meantime!!!! can't wait!
  7. bonus, if you call and threaten to cancel the Sports Pack a month later claiming you dont appreciate the value, they'll offer it at $2.99 per month for 6 mo. ya big deal, saved 10 bucks, woopee, i just hate getting nickel and dimed for television programming... especially if youre only watching a single program each month.
  8. Condition: Used for two seasons while my son learned road-racing. He's since outgrown the suit. These leathers are well broken in, and are a bit scuffed. however, the suit is in perfectly functional condition. There is one repair spot on the right side butt cheek, but it has been professionally repaired. This package is ideal for someone who wants to learn how to road-race or ride Supermoto, or a new rider that wants full protection on the street. Size: At the end of 2012 my 16 year old son was 5-6 and 130 lbs, and the suit was about as close fitting as anyone would comfortably want it (the pictures were taken mid summer). He did wear an AXO back protector underneath with the standard protector removed. Gloves: they are Alpinestars SP-2 gloves that I will throw into the package. They are in decent shape with some scuffs, but perfectly functional. i can email additional photos on request. $250 for the package. located in Mentor. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Rooster-Racing-motorcycle-leather-track-suit-Youth-size-10-Alpinestars-gloves-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$T2eC16R,!zUE9s38+GpWBQ6e3Y28(Q~~60_57.JPG
  9. $50 for a 'mini membership', i presume that's good for 1 race $85 for race entry $60 for transponder rental $100 for race school - would they honor another racing organization's credential? (ie, Motoseries)? http://maps.wera.com/fees/?x=1098
  10. i think racing at mid-ohio would be very cool. done several track days, maybe let the kid loose there... https://www.facebook.com/wera.roadracing?ref=stream
  11. dunno if they still run practice / track days on Wilson, but IF they do - make a point of getting there. It's a primo WKA track, and there's probably few tracks as nice for supermoto on the East coast (maybe even west). Even better when they actually had a nice dirt section with nice sweeping blue-groove berms, a couple 25' table tops and a whoop section. Makes me tear up just thinking about it. I geared my 450x with +1 on the front and the smallest rear the stock chain lenght would allow (so i could swap to dirt easily), and this would just tap about 70mph on the back straight. Supermoto on a big track like big Beaver with a small bike would be amusing for a while, but would get old pretty quick. The supermoto decline broke my heart. It cost $25 to run all day long, another $50 or so to race, you could bump elbows and even throw the bike away leaned over in 2nd or 3rd gear, and just dust yourself off and jump back on. And to be able to crossover to dirt, added a whole new dimension (like UP!). sorry for the rant.
  12. Considering going down in a few weeks for our season opener. Anybody been? Any comments, reviews, advice? Should we hold off a few weeks and do VIR instead? (cant make Barber like we wanted) thanks
  13. haha thats funny... how about a TRACK or a RACING SERIES for supermoto??? Beaverun used to run trackdays on their small track (Wilson Circuit) and even had a few racing events. In its heyday they even had Mark Burkhart teach a class, but we all know what happened to that sport I'm not aware of anything anymore (why we sold our bikes), but you might try supermotojunkies.com or esmra.com
  14. what is this you speak of? I'm getting ready to ditch my DirectTV but want to make sure i've got my SX/MX and MotoGP/WSBK coverage taken care of when i do.
  15. sorry, the sm stuff went months ago. just wish that sport wouldve taken off...
  16. selling my X to get a trackbike (would entertain trades). more pics at - http://www.flickr.com/photos/izapp/sets/72157632567596923/ craigslist ad- http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3555550152.html
  17. you punks better stop it with the old guy references. 50 is NOT old. (I'm only two years from there!...)
  18. haha... good luck with that. Hey Pista, beszelsz magyorul?
  19. no disrespect to pegram, my point is how well the guy is doing considering he rarely stands on the podium (not once last year) which is what sponsors want to see. i was under the impression that if you weren't top three (these days) you were barely collecting a paycheck and it actually COST money to race if you were mid-pack. he's obviously doing well. my understanding of road-racing economics must be out of whack - at what point does a person make the transition from "pro" but still having a day job, to actually making a living at it???
  20. man i want to be an average professional motorcycle racer when i grow up... sweet house, industrial size out building, M3 and Escalade in the garage, smoking hot wife that WANTS you to race... what was i thinking with my boring career choice????
  21. based on the amount of time he spent sliding across the track last year, we really need to be looking for a 1-piece, and of decent quality. thanks for the offers though.
  22. for 5-6, 130# rider. any leads appreciated. also, selling size 10 youth leathers (outgrown) no, they're not mine!
