  1. Personally? yes, I would be... I just wanted to clear up the bullshit that was being rolled around about a soldier being a mindless fucktard unable to make ethical decisions. That is not the case...
  2. US military personnel have an obligation and a duty to only obey Lawful orders and indeed have an obligation to disobey Unlawful orders, including orders by the president that do not comply with the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The moral and legal obligation is to the U.S. Constitution and not to those who would issue unlawful orders, especially if those orders are in direct violation of the Constitution and the UCMJ. Unlawful Order: An unlawful order is one that is clearly outside the authority of the person giving it. Ordering someone to commit a crime is clearly unlawful. Killing a civilian (meaning an unarmed non-combatant, not simply someone who doesn't wear a uniform) would be an example. http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/militarylaw1/a/obeyingorders.htm
  3. Got the serrated! This is going in my tank bag...
  4. I want to use this in my sig as a quote... Perfectly stated!
  5. I would have to agree however she has odd taste so... We have two young kids so the chance that we would have time to ride together anytime soon is pretty small. IF she got a bike, it would be a few years down the road.
  6. What lender requires no deductible?! Not doubting you, I've just never heard of it.
  7. This is him.... Well.. The side of him anyways...
  8. My 1st bike was a GSX750F Katana... It was heavy and a hell of a lot faster than what I needed. However, I was 26 and even those 72 bhp's were enough to scare the shit out of me (for a little while). Than I got the lust... A year later I got my current bike... 2007 GSXR 600 (104 hp I think?). Well, after 15 min on that bike I realized that I was fine where I was. Now, a year later, I am starting to want something bigger. All in all, I'd say the 750 was just enough to make me RESPECT the bike instead of thinking I was better than the bike. However, with the Kat's weight, I was unable to learn the things that I needed to learn safely. I didn't understand body position, lean angle, proper braking, nor the proper head turn. Even to this day I still have some issues with these things. I would say the best thing to do would be send that kid to the track. I know that is the 1st thing I'm doing next year... I am going to the track to learn what I have incorrectly-self-taught myself for the last 3 years. As others have said, if he doesn't listen than there is nothing you can do. I haven't wrecked but I have came very very close (in situations where I prob shouldn't have came that close). Teaching and learning is a two way street and if he doesn't WANT to learn than there is no way you can teach him.
  9. My wife sat on one at IP Monday, she liked the way it looks and feels... She hates the look of my GSXR if that means anything (she thinks its too big... Its a 600 lol). **Note** Hates it for her I mean...
