  1. Pair the Held Titans up with the Race-EVO one piece suit and you’ll not only have Stingray coverage on your hands, but on your forearms and shoulder as well. Stingray is incredibly abrasion resistant and, as an added bonus, it looks awesome too.
  2. Here's the Alpinestars 1pc Stella suits I have available
  3. Bob, it's not as dark as the standard dark smoke shields we offer but I did not have a problem with it not being dark enough in the sun.
  4. Yea I noticed that as well, the shield seems to have a very slight prescription for the most focused and clear field of view I've ever had.

  6. The price of quality leather gear seems to keep climbing, but this is not the case at Speed and Strength. They were able to put out a nice suit for a very competitive price, and that suit is the Twist of Fate 2.0. Speed and Strength built upon the success of their original Twist of Fate and designed the new version with even more protection and comfort in mind. What they ended up doing was upping the quality in both of those key areas, while still managing to keep the price of the 2.0 the same as the outgoing original. The first thing you notice when you slip into the Twist of Fate 2.0 suit is that it feels broken in right off the bat. This is because Speed and Strength made this suit very flexible through the use of Schoeller® Keprotec® panels. This stretchy material is soft and comfortable while still remaining very durable. These panels are found running under the arm and on the back of the lower leg. There is even a narrow piece that extends from the arm up to the collar. You will also find the familiar accordion style stretch panels in the lower back and sides. Additional comfort features include mesh material at each wrist and ankle. This lightweight mesh helps the suit fit comfortably under your gloves/boots and it won’t bunch up. It also helps keep you cool – which is never a bad thing. Cooling up top is provided by the abundant perforation found all over the torso. All in all, these features add up to a very comfortable suit. Having a comfortable suit is great, but this doesn’t mean a thing if it won’t protect you in the event of a crash. This is why Speed and Strength also focused on keeping safety while they were designing the Twist of Fate 2.0. This suit uses a 1.4mm cowhide frame that is held together with genuine Kevlar® threaded seams that Speed and Strength calls H.I.S.S (High Impact Safety Seams). Moving inside the suit you’ll find CE approved shoulder, hip, knee and elbow protectors from Knox. High-density foam is found behind the leather in many areas to add a little extra protection to the more sensitive areas. The MotoGP inspired elbow guards are Knox armor that has been sandwiched in this high-density foam before being sewn into place. This insures that they will stay in place and absorb more energy if the need to. A Knox unit also provides back protection, but it is an insert and we recommend upgrading to a higher quality, full coverage back protector if you plan on hitting the track. The Speed and Strength Twist of Fate 2.0 is a suit that offers a lot of bang for the buck, so be sure to get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested. You can give him a call at 866-931-6644 ext. 809, or you can send a message to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away. The Speed and Strength Twist of Fate 2.0 in white. Plenty of perforation to help keep you cool. A stretch panel extends from the underarm to collar for comfort and flexibility. A custom Speed and Strength suit could be seen on RidersDiscount.com owner Brian Gibson during the AMA weekend at Road America this year.
  7. Your helmet works hard to protect your head - why not return the favor? Most helmets come with a drawstring helmet bag that is good for keeping it dust free on a shelf, but not much else. If you’re looking to get a little more robust protection for your helmet, look no further than the Scorpion RaceCase at RidersDiscount.com. The Scorpion RaceCase features a sturdy exterior shell that is tough and rigid in order to keep your helmet free of scratches and dings when it’s not on your head. This tough exterior is opened up by undoing a heavy duty zipper, which reveals a soft-lined interior that won’t add any scuffs or blemishes to the finish of your helmet. You might worry about moisture being trapped inside if you throw your helmet into a case without letting it dry after a long ride or a day at the track, but this is not a problem with the RaceCase. The ventilated bottom allows the moist air to escape, preventing your helmet from becoming a science project between rides. Just because this case is made by Scorpion doesn’t mean that it will only fit their helmets. We tried many different brands and sizes without any fitment issues. The interior is big enough to fit all but the largest street helmets and the soft, elastic bands at the top hold smaller helmets in place. There is even an elastic pocket on the front of the case for a spare shield. The Scorpion RaceCase is a must have for transporting your helmet and keeping it safe between rides. You can pick yours up at RidersDiscount.com by following this link: Scorpion RaceCase. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext. 809. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away. The center of the base is vented to allow moisture to escape. The Scorpion RaceCase will fit nearly every street helmet, whether it’s an Arai… A Bell… Or a Shoei.
  8. Nobody likes to get caught in the rain while riding, but it’s bound to happen to everyone at some point. Be prepared with the new Quick Seal Out 2PC Rainsuit from Alpinestars. The whole suit is constructed from 100% waterproof material with taped seams to keep moisture from seeping in. The material is breathable as well, so you don’t have to worry about encountering the sauna effect caused by some rain gear when moisture/sweat builds up underneath the waterproof layer with nowhere to go. Instead of a hood, the jacket features a higher profile collar for more coverage and a dual overlapping front flap to help seal out the weather. The higher-cut waist on the pants insures that they will stay overlapped by the jacket - the last thing you want is for the jacket to ride up and expose your lower back to the elements. Both the top and bottom run large, allowing them to be easily worn over your gear. This does mean that there will be extra material in some places, but the adjusters in the collar, sides, waist and ankles that allow you to tighten it up to prevent the material from flapping at speed. Rain gear doesn’t do you any good if you don’t have it with you when the weather starts to turn, so Alpinestars made sure that the Quick Seal Out set is compact and easy to transport. Both the jacket and pants easily roll up and slip into the included carrying bag. When packed, these will fit in just about any compartment or bag. Be prepared for wet weather by ordering the Alpinestars Quick Seal Out 2PC Rain Suit from Riders Discount today! Dual overlapping front flap helps seal out the elements. Once rolled up and packed in the included bag, the Quick Seal Out is easy to bring with you on your ride.
  9. Mello is spot on with these. You have to be a little more wary of weather temps in the late fall/early spring if you park your bike outside. Garaged bikes are generally ok until you park them for the winter.
  10. If you're on the ZX10 forums PM the Riders Discount screen name on there and Mike will hook you up as much as possible. He knows the Gen4 like the back of his hand. Just be sure to let him know I sent you over there from O-R.
  11. PM on the way Mike. MJ - they do make a ladies version of this in the "Drift" model - http://www.drayko.com/womens-drift.php
  12. Anyone that has looked for riding jeans knows that they are not always an easy piece of gear to shop for. Most riders want a pair that can pass as everyday jeans, while still offering the kind of protection needed for riding. This is unfortunately a difficult thing to find since the pairs that offer solid protection rarely come close to looking normal enough due to the additional seams needed to hold the protective panels, and the pairs that look like regular jeans do not offer enough in the way of protection. Drayko is an Australian manufacturer that set out to design jeans that give you the best of both worlds, and their products are now available from Riders Discount. Drayko’s Renegade jeans are amazingly tough. So tough, in fact, that they are strong enough to be the only jeans available that meet CE-approval for abrasion, burst and tear resistance. They also do all of this while maintaining the look of regular jeans. This high level of protection comes from the use of advanced materials in their construction. The protective materials may not be visible from the outside, but once you turn the jeans inside out you will see a lot of pale yellow material in major abrasion zones that include the seat, knees, hips and outer legs. This material is a knit blend of two of the world’s strongest fibers – military-grade Kevlar and Dyneema. Having these two materials knit together means that the lining very soft, flexible and breathable, while maintaining the extremely durable properties of the Kevlar and Dyneema. The knitting also creates tiny loops in the fabric that gently catch the pavement and help slow you down in the event of a slide. This catching is on a very small scale and is not the type that could lead a slide to turn into a tumble. Drayko is very confident in the strength of these jeans - so confident, in fact, that the founder tested a pair himself by being dragged behind a bike at 75 mph on camera. Their video section also shows the brutal tests that the jeans go through during the CE approval process and the performance is nothing short of impressive. This high-end protection is available in two different styles from Drayko. The Renegade’s come in indigo denim and black, in sizes 30 - 44 US. They have a traditional fit that sits comfortably at the waist and a loose, semi-boot cut through the leg. This allows them to fit easily over most riding boots. All sizes come in one length (about 35”) and they are designed to be hemmed up to your required length. The nice thing about protective gear looking like street clothes is that it doesn’t leave you any excuse not to wear it! Give Nathan a call at 866-931-6644 ext. 809 to pick up a pair of Drayko jeans today. You can also feel free to send a PM through the forum or send a note to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT.COM and we’ll get back to you right away. The knit Kevlar/Dyneema lining is found in all major abrasion zones. It is soft, breathable and very strong. Available in indigo and black.
  13. Many things that come to mind when thinking of German engineering - and things like attention to detail and quality are almost always among them. German motorcycle protection specialists, Held, do not break this mold and Riders Discount is proud to be offering you their latest top of the line suit - the Race-EVO One Piece. Held used Kangaroo leather for the main construction of the Race-Evo - about 70%. Kangaroo leather is both stronger and lighter than cowhide, which pays off in safety and comfort. Large cuts of leather were used so that fewer seams were necessary to hold it all together. Cowhide, durable synthetics, and other, more exotic materials like stingray hide make up the remaining 30% of the suit. This combination gives you the best of both worlds. The highly abrasion resistant stingray leather is found on the shoulders and sleeves. This helps them slide, rather than catch the pavement during slide. The shoulders, elbows and knees also feature an innovative type of protector. Held coated titanium in extremely hard ceramic alloy and set them as inserts in molded plastic. Titanium is tough and abrasion resistant already, but the additional ceramic coating makes them even more durable and long lasting. Kangaroo leather is more abrasion resistant than cowhide, which means that thinner material can be used. This saves a significant amount of weight and makes it more flexible. These weight savings allowed Held to cram more protective features into the inner suit without weighing the rider down. These features include extra layers of leather in major impact zones and armor that was developed with the help of their fellow German engineers at SaS-Tec. The two companies developed a new type of shock absorbing protector that can take on extreme amounts of energy over multiple hits. Armor comes in the form of soft, pliable foam that becomes even more malleable when exposed to body heat. This allows it to conform to your body individual body shape. You can find these protectors in the shoulders, elbows, ribs, hips, tailbone and knees. The back has a SaS-Tec unit as well. It is made of a similar, conforming foam, but it is CE level 2 certified, whereas the rest are CE level 1. These features make the Race-EVO great at protecting you when it counts, but there is also another area where it shines - comfort. Held put a lot of focus into making this suit comfortable to wear and a big part of this was making it flexible. They accomplished this through the use of a ton of stretch material, both accordion and Schoeller Kevlar. The accordion stretch panels are found in the standard lower back location, as well as running up the sides of the back. They then connect with another set at the shoulders that cuts back inward towards the hump. Schoeller Kevlar is used in areas that don’t need to withstand an impact, such as the underarms, crotch and calves. This material is soft and stretchy, but very durable. This same material extends to the cuffs of all four limbs so that they fit comfortably into your boots and gloves without binding up. At the neck, you will find that they lined the collar with a softer stretch material that will not irritate your skin or restrict head movement. A narrow strip even extends back to the hump so that you don’t have to strain at all against the leather to hold your head back when you are in a full race tuck. All of these aspects make the Race-EVO a suit that not only conforms to your body like it was custom made specifically for you, but also feels well broken in the first time you put it on. At $1899.99, this suit is a premium product, but the features and quality that you get from Held make it well worth the money. The Race-EVO suit isn’t listed on our website yet, so be sure to give Nathan a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 809 today if interested. You can also send a PM or shoot an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get right back to you. Shown here in black/white, it can also be had in red/black/white. The collar of this suit has a strip of stretch material that extends back to the hump. This greatly improves the comfort when you are in a full tuck. The hump also circulates air throughout the body of the suit. Molded plastic armor with a ceramic coated titanium insert sits over the SaS-Tec shoulder armor. They are vented for additional air-flow, as are the similar guards on the knees. The fully removable liner has a raised honeycomb pattern at the back to keep a layer of air between you and the suit. The complete set of SaS-Tec armor removed from the Race-EVO. As you can see, they have you covered throughout the suit. The back protector is even a full coverage CE Level 2 unit that can take multiple impacts.
  14. Sick of carrying two shields for your Bell helmet? Bell makes it easy to ditch the extra for your Star, Vortex or Revolver with their Transitions SolFX Photochromic shield. This shield uses advanced photochromic technology to shift the lens from clear to tinted automatically when the light changes. The shield starts out as a clear and will stay this way in dark/low light conditions, but things change quickly once the sun comes out. Direct sunlight causes the photochromic shield to shift to a dark smoke in around ten seconds. The process works the same in reverse as the light fades, so you don't have to worry about switching back to a clear shield for night riding. This shield also features Bell's NutraFog II anti-fog coating and an anti-scratch coating, which help make this the best all-around shield available. The Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromic shield is not yet available on our website - for more information on this shield (or any other Bell products), call Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext 809 or send a note to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away. These shields transition quickly from clear... ...to smoke in around 10 seconds when hit with bright sunlight. MSRP $119.95
  15. Alien Motion batteries are not Ballistic and they are assembled using a newer style cell. Alien Motion batteries are also produced on a smaller scale with what we would consider very good quality control. As far as Ballsitic there have been some issues however as you said they have taken care of their customers. Lithium Ion batteries are definitely not for everyone however for those people looking to drop some weight off their bike it is a very good option.
  16. Colder weather is a little more sensitive. If you're planning on storing your bike, remove the battery and keep inside. Day to day activity is fine though.
  17. I can get you the more expensive Ballistic battery that has the full warranty if you'd like. Alien Motion are confident in their product and durability. Generally with these batteries, if something's going to go wrong it's going to happen soon after purchase which is why Alien Motion didn't feel the need to have a full year warranty.
  18. i use 8 cell in my r6. 4cell is pushing it for sure but doable with the Yamaha's and Kawasaki's. There's only a small difference in weight between the 4-8cell, you'd be better off and more reliable with the 8-cell.
  19. Also, double check the rules of the racing org you guys are running with so you're not buying yourself into the next class on accident.
