  1. i've asked everywhere else, might as well ask here

    anyone recognize the following description:

trackbike in the bed of a truck. black, with white plates, and the number 17 in red.

we were on 444 by the wright-patt air force base. the bike looked familiar, as i think i've seen it at mid-o before.

looking for some fellow local (to me) track/race riders.

  2. "Junior heard the shots and ran outside. He reportedly found his mother screaming, "I shot your daddy! I shot your daddy!" The son then backed his pickup truck into the yard, lifting his father onto the tailgate while waiting for the police and an ambulance to arrive."

I share the sentiments of the above poster's sentiment.

  3. I missed Monday as I spending plenty of seat time on the porcelain throne.:(

might have been the heat, Marty. that is a symptom of heat exhaustion (along with nausea, headache, fatigue, etc.).

looking forward to seeing the pics! hopefully the low-angle got at least one of me! (you had it setup in the carosel, right?)

  4. Reply from the AMA regarding transponders!

"To your question, WERA will be providing free transponders as long as they are returned. If they are not returned the rider will pay for the full replacement.

Please contact me should you have any other questions.

    See you next week!!!

    Sincerely,

  5. hey folks,

i need to know how they do the timing for the vintage round.

does the AMA provide us with a transponder, or do we need our own?

anyone else going to be racing their SV from the Dayton/Springfield area?

    thanks!

oh, yeah, i did figure out my electrical gremlins. apparently, it was a grounding issue...

the SV is pimped and ready to race!

  6. For what it's worth, Joe is a great racer! I've had many battles with him in the CCS lightweight classes. (sorry i missed your clinic-- i didn't even know you were going to be in town!)

  7. just bought one of these (8-cell) from TJ last week. used it at BeaveRun in my GSXR600. the weight savings are SIGNIFICANT! Also, you can't beat 99 bucks for a 4-cell, especially if you are using it in an inline-4 race bike. puts all those "other" lightweight battery folks to shame when they try and bill you 200+ for the same technology.

oh, yeah, RD rocks. bought it at the last minute on a Friday. TJ/Mike had it on my doorstep THE NEXT DAY!!!!!!!!

    RidersDiscount is full of win!

  8. sorry to thread-jack, but fellow SV'ers that are good at troubleshooting, please help!

i want to race at mid-ohio for the vintage round, but the darn thing won't start.

i hit the start button and only get a "click". battery is new and charged. bike doesn't turn over at all. gauges are getting power.

i'm in springfield, oh, if anyone is close. there could be a small monetary reward for your assistance! thanks in advance. PM me here, or longdogracing@gmail.com

  9. so much for bringing the SV. thing wouldn't start. seemed to have plenty of juice (brand new battery), but the starter would just "click", and nothing else.

maybe one of you guys can help troubleshoot. (but i can't bring the bike because i couldn't get it in the bed of the truck!)

i'll be on the GSXR600 all weekend...

    see you there!

  10. Dudes, if you haven't dealt with RidersDiscount yet, you're losing out! Send TJ an email and he'll reply within the hour. Great prices and service.
