Spoke with Charlie, we are going to look at the weather tomorrow evening to see how Sunday is looking for the rental. If it looks like it will rain all day we will call it and reschedule a few weeks out to give everyone time to plan accordingly.

I think I am going to bring the Camaro out for the auto cross and the G8 out for drag racing. Not sure the V would be very happy about drag racing or auto cross. I still have the anti-wheel hop kit sitting in a box with no time to put it on. :fuuuu:

Welcome to the forum! We just called the track day due to the forecast of rain for Sunday. It will be held Sunday June 24th! Hope to see you there! I am debating bringing my 04 Cts-V out.

This event has been Postponed due to weather. Our Rain date is SUNDAY June 24th! This also gives us a chance to spread the word and get more people signed up for the track day! If you have posted on facebook be sure to bump up the posts and let everyone know the date has been changed! This should give some people a chance to get their cars ready for the event!

Oops! So focused on track day stuff I almost forgot about the photo of the month. So this will be a quick one. All photo's must be submitted by tomorrow morning. I will put up a poll tomorrow morning and most votes by tomorrow night wins. Winning photo will be on the main page of CR as well as the cover photo for the facebook page. Accepting only the first 10 photo's submitted for the poll. This will be a monthly thing through December so if you did not get a chance to submit a photo this month, you will get another chance! Photo of the month rules: You must currently own the car. You must own the rights to the photo or have written permission to use the photo. Only ONE photo per person can be submitted each month.

We have about half what we need. I have posted on a ton of FB groups. Not sure what the deal is. What's everyones opinion? Too much stuff going on this coming weekend? Cars not ready? I am not sure if this should be postponed to a different weekend or cancelled. We are waiting to see what happens this week with sign ups before calling it. Spread the word. Bring out friends.

But not as slow as you. I will even let you pick which car you want to lose to. The G8, or maybe the Camaro... hell I might even leave the Camaro home and bring out the daily CTS-V - that way it could be grandma car vs grandpa car. :gabe:

Video is from the last track day we had at Kilkare 10 years ago. Sadly the woman who took the video is no longer with us, but she did an amazing job capturing good memories for everyone to enjoy.

I can't say for sure due to our events at trails are only drag racing events. And for drag racing only the rate was over double last years price, almost triple. :no: Plus they originally told me no side by side racing etc for our event. After weeks of talking they agreed to allow side by side racing and could only offer us a few hundred off the price originally quoted. While I am sure the die hard drag racers would have no problem dropping $120-$150+ for a private rental... younger people and the people that only make it to the track a couple times per year would be discouraged from trying or from going altogether. I understand where they are coming from, as far as wanting to make the track nicer. But a lot of groups like ours are forced to look elsewhere as the prices are too high. I recently spoke with another group that does a whole weekend rental at NTR and they have moved their event to Dragway 42 due to the price increases as well. We have rented out Kilkare before and would have continued to do so if the people who used to run the track would have continued to return phone calls. Now with a CR member running it that's not a problem. He is giving us a fair price for a SUNDAY rental so that most people won't have to take off work. And he is giving us the bonus of being able to run our first autocross!
