  2. Long story short, we found a young beagle in the middle of the road. We tried returning her to the people that had her and they don't want her. But after dealing with that situation she deserves better. She is sweet, loving, cuddly, loves other dogs, gets along with cats. Wants to play with everything. If we didn't already have 4 1/2 dogs we would keep her. But i work too much to train her right now. She is skinny. Probably needs her shots and vet checked. I just want her to go to a loving home. People suck. Anyone want a puppy? http://preview.ibb.co/cH1uLq/20181022-143932.jpg
  3. I did one of the 10x12 Lowes metal shed kits and bought the ancor kit for a wood floor. Its been up about 2 years without issues. I would recommend having at least 1-2 people help with it. My 3 teens helped me put ours up in Nov and it wasn't fun.
  4. Thought it was time to make a project thread for the project car. Earlier this year we picked up a 2000 Camaro SS 6spd. Kind of an early Anniversary gift. Anthony wanted another 6spd Fbody and I missed the one I used to daily so we found this one. It was cheap and needed some work. The paint on the hood/trunk/rear bumper was missing clear coat in a lot of places. The hood/trunk had paint missing down into the fiberglass in a few spots. The tires had belts showing, transmission is meh etc. She needed alot of help! The day we brought it home: First things first... fix the hood/trunk because of the paint being gone to the fiberglass. These hoods are getting expensive and I didn't want it to be completely ruined. I work at a car lot and we have a lot of contacts. A guy that does body work for the lot hooked me up on getting it all fixed up. Right after the paint work: So considering we have had a bunch of these cars we of course had some spare parts sitting around. Bolted up a strut tower brace, SLP lid, a panhard bar etc.... Lid isn't on in this pic: I have driven this car a lot over the summer. At least 3x a week since we bought it. Its been a good driver, if you baby the transmission. I had Anthony's Corvette wheels on it until we put some new tires on the factory wheels about 2 weeks ago. For whatever reason it decided to do it, I don't know... but I put the old wheels back on and it picked up a bad vibration. I thought maybe one of the tires or a wheel was bad... but no such luck. After putting it up on the rack it seems the 10-bolt decided to take a shit. :dumb: Lucky for the car, we have a 3 channel 10 bolt sitting in our garage that was a low mileage pickup that we where originally going to drop into Anthony's car or keep as a backup for the Orange car. Looks like the Red car gets it now. There is a lot of play in the axles on the red car, so we are using Anthony's stock axles out of his old 10 bolt to make this 3 channel rear end work in the 4 channel car. This project is taking place this weekend. Carnage pics coming soon.

  9. Congrats Smokey! I updated the forum and facebook last night.
  10. After doing a few months of photo of the month on the FB page, lets get another one going on here. You know the rules, you must currently own the car and have rights to the photo! Once we get 10 photo's submitted, we will do a poll. Most votes by Sept 1st wins!
  11. If they decide to buy a brand new Subaru, I have a $500.00 off purchase offer available. (I am a Subaru Ambassador)
  12. So if there is debris on the sensors the transmission needs rebuilt? I am going to install a cooler. Found the speed sensor online (GM part). REALLY hoping it doesn't need a transmission rebuild. It just got the engine rebuilt.... :fuuuu:
  13. So, since we have gotten the G8 it has been driven mostly highway miles, never sat in traffic as it is not a daily. Well, broken cars forced it out of the garage to be a daily and now I am seeing some issues. At idle, with my foot on the brake, it keeps tossing codes for the transmission speed sensor. P0716, P0717. It puts it into limp mode = max speed 25mph. When it does this, you have to be sitting for a little while, like stuck in traffic. Takes about 5-10 minutes. The car has a pretty decent size cam in it. The camaro pan mod has been done recently, so fluid was changed. We went into the service menu when the code came on this last time and the trans temp was around 223f. This seems kind of high to me, but I don't know much about these cars and what its supposed to be. So questions are.... 1 - Should I install a transmission cooler before taking apart the transmission to do this speed sensor. Could my issue be heat related? 2 - Could the cam being on the larger side for a stock converter be triggering something in the speed sensor? I find it weird it only does it at idle with my foot on the brake. You would think a speed sensor issue would be triggered while the car is moving.
  14. Need a T56 transmission rebuilt. A stock rebuild is fine. Just looking around for recommendations. I called a few shops that don't currently have someone that can rebuild a manual transmission.
  15. Both of the shops mentioned are great. We had Carlyle Racing build the motor in the G8, they did an awesome job!
