  1. Lol at the new guy calling senior supporting members trolls..... With quality die grinders you can kep plenty consistent speeds. As an apprentice machinist I used to have to polish stainless machine parts for food service. Die grinder and a couple different grades of scotch brite pads, then a d.a. sander....of course you wouldn't want to use a d.a. to polish a frame. After you've worked it down with white scotch pads, hit it with a rouge wheel then maybe hand rub with simichrome. I've never had a problem with water seeing as if any comes out, its from the opposite end of the tool.
  2. Dude, you prefer old Harleys but that's ALL you've ever ridden on the street. That's like saying you prefer jacking off even tho you've never had a piece of pussy. A preference is when you have tried several options and chosen one. You are making a blind decision based on zero comparison. Its unfounded.
  3. Enough with the 'as a racer' crap dude. You're an aspiring racer. That means 'not a racer yet'. Also, you don't have an air compressor....you gonna hand-rub a complete frame and swinger? Don't you have a job, wife and kid(s)?
  4. If its Japanese I wouldn't worry about it.
  5. You should try out more bikes. I know I know, you tug it to hd rigid choppers every night before bed but jump on something modern once, even if its a jap cruiser. Its one thing to love the bike you have, and I've loved every bike I've ever owned....intensely. but before you decide that this is the only thing you're ever going to like, get out there and make sure, you owe it to yourself to make an informed decision and if the only two bikes you've ever been on were sportsters you should expand your horizons.
  6. Jan was not the time to invest dude. Gold and silver rise and fall in the short term but over history have a clear upward trend.
  7. Shit like that happens to me almost daily during my commute. I've learned to just expect it and be prepared to avoid them.
  8. That's what you get for spending that kind of money on fuggin sunglasses.
  9. As throughout history, those with lots of food, water and land are often willing to trade some of it for shiny metals...not that I'm hoarding silver and gold for the apocalypse, for me its a medium term investment. Last time silver dipped I bought ten oz a week. When it doubled I sold out and bought an AR with the proceeds.
  10. My dad streets my old 1972 Suzuki ts90 from when I was like 13. 90 mpg and it will do 60 mph.....down a mine shaft.
  11. Eh, I only bought ten oz. Ill see a return on it. The cash wasn't doing anything sitting in there, at least this has growth potential. Prices will stay forever right? Because nobody manipulates markets and our world is free of war and other global events that effect metals prices right?
  12. Gold and silver are also industrial metals and used heavily in the manufacture of electronics. Demand for electronics is only going up, that should drive the market. I saw this happen in 07 or 08, silver dipped from around $20 to $9. Then I started buying it. 9 mos later it was at $18. A year after that, $35. Its going to go over that again and I'm gonna cash in when the bubble gets big enough.
  13. Gold is down to $1275, silver is at $~20. Lowest prices I've seen in 4 or 5 years. You'd probably double your money on silver within a year or so. Looking at making $400-500 an ounce on gold within two years. Apmex.com I'm taking cash out of my safe and putting it in my checking account so I can buy a few pounds of silver today.
  14. I wouldn't give any more than $2000 for a bike that old, regardless of how clean it is. I'd say Glws but you don't want to sell it.
  15. Lol, he's got a bunch of crazy shit on his Flickr. The painted cow statues are from downtown Kansas city, I recognize them from my trip out there like 13 yrs ago.
  16. There's a shot of the rear, its getting thin but there's still some good life left on em. Brakes and lines are fine. Its literally a 'get on it and ride' bike.
  17. Bike is at my dads house in tallmadge. Its near Akron.
