Hunting for idle is a classic symptom of lean condition. Not sure exactly how your bike is set up, but if it uses a closed loop system with an o2 sensor it's probably sensing that your exhaust is crazy lean and dumping lots of fuel (or at least as much as it can trim, usually 20%) into the bike which helps but doesn't help enough to read stoichiometric at the o2 sensor. I'm no efi wizard tho, more of a carburetor guy. Problem is, a guy with more engineering degrees on his wall than you designed the exhaust for that bike, but you decided you knew better than him. Put a good stock exhaust on it and all will be right, or spend a few grand on a full system and a fuel controller and a day of dyno tuning and enjoy the gains.

Yosh pipes offer like zero restriction. It's a straight through design. Aftermarket headers will flow better than stock, or they at least better considering the price. End result: even leaner.

A full aftermarket system will make it worse until it's dyno tuned.

Fuel injected bikes hate when you mess with intake and exhaust. I'd find a good stock muffler and put it on, see if it solves your issue.

Welcome to the shit show. It's better to start on something small like that, lots of people in boxes and wheel chairs because they decided it was cool to start out on a supersport. Learn to ride well, invest in some good quality riding gear and sell the 300 in a year or two and move up to something bigger.

I owned a cruiser once. A 96 Honda Shadow vt1100. Fun little bike for what it was, and looked great. I railed the shit out of that bike and rode it like a sport bike. Seriously, body position and everything. I made that bike do what it wasn't exactly born to do with zero mods, in fact I bought a set of factory mufflers for it because the aftermarket pipes hurt my ears. Cruisers aren't just for cruising, I assure you. But Harley's are for posing and eventually raising your credit score because you paid off a loan for 5 years.
