I used to feel that way, but no longer do. It is the right of a licensed or unlicensed civilian in some states to carry, who gives a rats ass if they can hit the broad side of a barn? In most shit hits the fan situations, it is gonna be less than 20 feet away. Many people will still choose "not to carry", it is more about gun safety for me than marksmanship. Have the CHL instructor highly recommend the student have the weapon they will carry for the course, that way each firearm can be checked and explained to the owner. There are law enforcement that can't shoot fish in a barrel, so what about their marksman skills?

He didnt obtain anything, he took "her guns" and killed her with one of them. She was in fact 100% negligent and in denial, however you are never fully prepared for what your offspring is capable of, or anybody for that matter. You never fully know until it is too late and it happens, then people react how they are doing now. Killers are cowards and they prey on the weak, it aint rocket science. Be very scared of this current government, next movies, the internet and music are the target. Yet another gun ban from another Democratic President.....imagine that. But it is for the greater good "of all".......yeah sure it is.

I just re-read your original post, didn't see the hiking boot or similar comment. The muck boot is perfect for quick on and off and deep snow/water/mud/warmth/ but not ideal for walking around all day. I would have to agree with the Redwing boots comment, there is just no better leather boots made IMHO. Keep them oiled and they last FOR YEARS, but you are gonna pay. You do get what you pay for with them, and they are guaranteed to fit. For hiking boot I agree with the Columbia or Merrel, but I love my Hi-Tec boots. I used to have a Nissan Pathfinder that was a 5 speed, that would be perfect for you if you could find one. The older Jeep Cherokee Sports are pretty ideal too, and they run damn near forever.

Muck boots or any of the comparative boots, they are just awesome. Easy on and kick them off when you are done. Muck boots brands are the very best, but Cabela's, LaCrosse, Irish setter, Under Armor.....etc are also hard to go wrong with. They last a very long time, are comfortable, come in many different insulated levels and are 110% waterproof.

Gonna be really hard to find what you want in a manual, maybe an older model Jeep Wrangler would work? May just have to get a used 4 door mid sized truck, handier than a car anyways.
