  1. No salt on the roads here, what other excuses do you have?
  2. You should have known better than to ask that question on here Andy. You may just try and buy a used one or possibly a new one, probably not worth trying to fix in many situations.
  3. And many would venture to say, that the BMW 1200GS might very well be the best all touring bike available. The more that riders are starting to discover the ADV style bikes like the Tigers/Stroms/GS/Tenere/KTM Adventure/Moto Guzzi Stelvio....etc, they are quickly seeing how amazingly comfortable and sporty they are for distance riding and seriously exploring.
  4. The loud straight pipes and the butt dyno must have something to do with many Hog riders thinking they are on a fast and powerful machine.
  5. Ducati sure made some fast and powerful air cooled twins.
  6. If they build that......riders will cum.
  7. Interesting......especially considering that 3 on that list are some of my favorite states.
  8. Sandals are a nice touch!!!!!
  9. Cough....cough.....bullshit!!!!
  10. So glad I got rid of all my guns, other than what I carry for protection.
  11. Less is more sometimes......
  12. Reminds me of this.........
  13. You KNOW you want to! LOL
  14. Most bikes will take the small grips Brian, and I swear by these closed cell grip covers........they work and are extremely comfy. Just take some Windex and spray all over the inside of them, and they will slip right on over the bar grips.
  15. Groovy....seriously give the grip puppies a try, they really help with vibes and fatigue. Don't go with inferior knock offs, there is a difference. You want the small grips by the way. http://www.casporttouring.com/cst/motorcycles/GRIPPUP.html
  16. Interstate batteries is a good option too, although not a cheap option.
  17. Grip puppies.......and are you sure those 4 big carbs are synced properly?
  18. I have AT&T U-verse and I could not be happier overall with everything so far. I have had Insight, TWC and WOW before, and WOW was the best of the bunch by far. I figured I would give U-verse a try before going back to WOW, and thus far I can see staying with them for the foreseeable future.
  19. May 4th is a no no, and hopefully Hoblick is still planning on riding with me that whole weekend in WV? I vote for mid April, y'all take off your skirts and suck it up!!!
  20. The Original Bike Spirits is the overall favorite of Web Bike world now I believe, if not is was a very close second. It barely flings off, and it almost acts like a hybrid wax and dry lube film......stuff is the shit and all I use now. The original Dupont was pretty good stuff, although I am not totally sold on the dry lube film. Friend of mine gets 30K plus "safely" on his chains, and he NEVER cleans them except for a simple wipe off with a rag when they get dirty. He lubes about every 600 miles "as I do" and he rides probably 40 to 40K per year. Cleaning a chain meticulously is overrated, but do it if it makes you feel better.
  21. Original Bike Spirits "my favorite" or Bel Ray Super Clean are the all around best I have ever used "I have tried them all". Cleaning a chain is not necessary, matter of fact I believe it is counterproductive and removes all of the lube where it needs to stay. Using a grunge brush or any type of solvent is a NO NO, but don't just take my word for it. Wipe the chain free of residue and road grime with nothing but a rag, lubing the chain is all you need to do. The chain will actually self clean to a point, hence why you just wipe it down and re-lube. Yes you are going to get some fling off, get a shaft drive if that drives you crazy. My bikes get washed in the rain or during a creek or water crossing, having a clean motorcycle is counter productive.
  22. They are real, how do you think Hollywood got the idea for their many movies and shows? http://www.askmen.com/top_10/entertainment/top-10-notorious-biker-gangs.html
  23. Too flat and too hot, and no I am not referring to your woman.
