Different seat and or lowering links are very popular, allot of vertically challenged people own and ride them. I am betting the Ninja 1000 is pretty tall too, many bikes other than a cruiser are going to be taller than most. The C14 is a beast, no bones about that......

Helluva lot of bike Jack, HUGE step up from the 500 you ride. I think you would love a Versys and would be perfect for you, my buddy has one and his new 1200RT just sits in the garage because he enjoys riding the Versys more.

Oh I have explored my fair share, but have yet to head out West yet. I have been all throughout the NE of country clear up into Maine, and have explored most of the Southern and SE part of the country. Ohio has some great roads to ride, very technical and poorly marked roads at that.

Gluten free is the way to go, I started at 203 back in July and I am now at 188. I DO NOT EXERCISE other than walking 9 holes of golf once a week and occasionally lifting.

The fringe has got to go, and if I will be spending upwards to 20K on a bike it will be on a 1200GS Adventure. I do think the bikes are beautiful however, but just not my cup of tea......I would be afraid to ride it.

Real racing and being fast is not in a straight line, and once again even great riders on many Harleys will get smoked by much lesser bikes probably 95% of the time. The only nice thing about Winter is the peace and quiet of not hearing loud obnoxious Harleys and the likes.

I like Ohio just fine and proud to be born and raised here........great roads to ride and most of the state gets pretty mild Winters away from Lake Erie. We had Winter this year, Hell so did most of the rest of the country.
