  1. I can lead slow group in a pinch.
  2. I love the carbon fiber rear hugger on my C14, don't have any issues with tire changes, and of course having no chain to lube helps too.
  3. Asphalt camo, good looking helmet. Be sure to let us know what ya think about it after you put some good miles in it.
  4. It is none of the doctors business whether his patient should be allowed to own firearms, it is the patients right to do so. See this is the slippery slope that we will be sliding down soon, there will be hand picked individuals that will determine your well being and others because of yourself.. What exactly is mental illness, is a bout of depression in your past gonna ruin your chances of owning a firearm, is coming back from war gonna ruin your chances of owning a firearm? There really is no mental illness plan or program that will ever work, too many variables and too many outcomes due to the complexity and randomness of the whole thing. If a mentally ill person wants to kill somebody or do harm....they are gonna do it with whatever instrument of carnage they can get their hands on. We cannot be saved from ourselves, choices are always made whether you are even aware of it or not. The human brain is too complicated of a device, and some folks are just not hardwired right.
  5. Steve and I "Firedog45" would probably be willing to do whatever in the medium groups. We have both ridden that route more than once, if not bits and pieces of it mixed in with allot of other routes. I have lead rides before and so has Steve, I am not crazy about leading but I can if push comes to shove. Lets just see how things shake out once we see who all shows up, things will work out just fine.
  6. Welcome and see you at the Epic ride.
  7. Awesome Gunner, you are already noticing your body starting to adjust and heal itself!!!! You will eventually break the habit and routine of smoking, keep it up man!!!
  8. Would be a new Ninja ZX-6R 636, or a Triumph Daytona 675 for me should I ever pull the trigger on a true super sport. I still like the CBR 600RR though too.
  9. Brisket is a bit difficult to smoke and it consistently turn out really really good IMHO, but when it does it is fabulous.
  10. Yup....gonna be a sweeper for one of the medium groups, not sure if bags will be on or off yet. Mine looks and sounds allot like this one, except I have an Area P race exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZymgmmAljoM
  11. Ever thought of a Kawi C14? Lots of 08/09 model years out there for sale at really good prices. Fast.....smooth....powerful....handles very well for a sport touring bike, and will move you along down the road NO PROBLEM. Very comfortable and you can REALLY get serious with a full race exhaust and a reflash of your ECM. I ride with my bags off allot, it really looks like a big Ninja when I do that.
  12. Why you set on a liter bike, and how new are you talking? 636 up to an 848 sounds about perfect to me.
  13. Not being pissy at all' date=' was just expressing my opinion of him just like you as I see the person he is. Here is one of many interesting links which explains a bit better what that quote of scripture means, and the Bible is [u']full of parables and other examples as you know. And there was allot more to that little quote that you gave. This is fun!!!!!!! http://www.cupofwrath.com/bible-questions/camel-needle.php
  14. Awesome plan Doc, and thank you for considering and making the changes. Like you basically said, the new route is for sure not gonna suck. I think that Nelsonville makes sense for gas even if it is a bit early for some, plenty of room and plenty of pumps around with premium gas for those of us like me that need it. I will pack some frozen bottled waters and maybe a few snacks for as many in our medium group that I can, my sidecases can swallow up quite a bit. Make Firedog45 a sweep along with me, or an extra sweeping hand if ya wanna call it that. I wonder if there might be a way to somehow mark each group with a colored band around our jacket/arm for easy ID of what group we are in? Of course unless you have a better idea, or if you don't think it will be an issue. Looking forward to this ride, meeting and riding with some more Ohioriders is icing on the cake.
  15. Could not agree more with ya, however humans have failed "still are" time and time again while trying to use what we believe to be deductive reasoning and logic. I have no worries or concerns in what I believe, and I hope all can find their happy place in life or the thereafter. You and many others have faith in what you believe, I feel it takes more faith not to believe. So as long as you are absolutely sure there is no one God, and are absolutely sure there is no eternity in either Heaven or Hell......then that is all that matters.
  16. That is funny.....and "these people"? Sorry the guy is far from terrible, he hasn't been developed into the NFL QB that he could be or utilized in different ways along with a starting QB. The guy is an incredible athelete, and for anybody to say that he has been using his faith as notoriety and becoming popular, that is so far from the truth. He is open about his faith, he walks the walk and he talks the talk, he isn't a fake person nor does he think he is better than anybody else. The MEDIA and his fanbase and anti fanbase blew everything out of proportion and in essence made him a victim of his faith. The guy is legit, but since he has no baby Mama's and or doesn't come from a shitty upbringing, doesn't get DUI's, gambling problems, drug problems, no performance enhancing drugs, doesn't do the club scene, hasn't been to jail or prison......etc and I could go on and on about many of the pro athletes in football, baseball and basketball. Somebody will pick him up, and they will both be better for it.
  17. So......there will be pirates there?????
  18. Always been partial to Ford when it comes to trucks, but damn those new Ram trucks are sweet......getting rave reviews as well.
  19. Jack Flash just went down at 20 mph or less and was his 3rd time running the route, so taking it easy when there is grit, sand, horse shit, rocks, diesel fuel, gravel.....whatever, somebody is still gonna go down regardless of experience. I vote no 555, but I will obviously stay with the group until that intersection, otherwise I will be taking another just as fun and much better pavement route. If some can't make it on gas I totally understand, but I have 5.8 gallons of whip ass that goes 200 plus if I am not being an idiot. Good luck to all and be safe no matter what happens, ride within your comfort zone and don't try to push your luck.
  20. 83 and 78 are AWESOME!!!!
  21. I know how to ride plenty fine, and 555 is not a good choice most of the time. I have ridden it quite a few times, and each time I wondered why I did and was glad I didnt go down from all the shit in the corners, or run into some farm equipment or an Amish buggy.
