  1. Had a great time guys. Thanks for letting me tag along....most of the time.
  2. Well...after riding with Hutch, Brent and Joey today and because I don't know these roads I'm going towards the riding with Hutch and company to the other ride route. I learned a lot today in that maybe I should learn a little more before I start leading these things or putting them together and I should probably ride with established riders and routes. Doesn't mean I won't explore....just don't want to take the reigns. Sorry guys (Bkizz) if I started something I didn't finish. I apologize. And Allen: You're welcome to come along on any of these. You have more experience than me and heck....I've been playing around with planning them.
  3. I bought the blue Tsunami for my first helmet. It did the job but wasn't very comfortable around the cheeks. Got an Icon Alliance this week and it fits better. The Scorpion is a good helmet for the price though. Can't beat 60 bucks They had a ton of them left when I was there. I'd almost guarantee they have plenty of Larges and XL's
  4. I guess that's better than them going around giving Dutch Rubs. Those things hurt....and could be considered assault.
  5. Yeah man....that was fun. Now I have a little taste of what riding a sportbike is all about. I'ma have to get myself a sticker now haha
  6. No man.....thanks for the suggestions. This was just mapped from my computer chair. Suggestions are welcome from someone that has been on these roads. Thanks man. I'll look at it and make changes tonight when I get back. Thanks again.
  7. http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=438470&locale=en_US I've done some route planning and Google mapping and this route looks fun, scenic and safe. I'm thinking we meet at the Shell on 256 and 70 in Reynoldsburg at 10am on Saturday. Fill up there and we can stop again mid route either in Chillicothe, Laurelville, or Lancaster. Should be a great ride for the fall leaves and it takes us through the Jacobs Ladder area. I mean who wouldn't want to say they rode Jacobs Ladder? Any and all are invited. Times can be adjusted as well as the route but let me know in the thread in advance. Ride planner says it's 153.8 miles and should take 3 hours and 16 mins.
  8. http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=438463&locale=en_US There's the route for any interested. Hope to see you in the AM Hutch If you want to send Hutch my cell number Joey that's cool with me. I would do it but I once again can't send any more PM's yet. I have to earn that privilege.
  9. Yeah....79 North out of Newark. I love that road. We're taking that to Nellie. We can meet you at the KFC on Cedar Street right where you get off 16 to get on 79. Probably at 11ish am. And yeah....79 South out of Newark is like riding your bike through the Ohio State Fair. No thanks lol
  10. Alright guys The plan as it is now is to meet at the Shell (McDonalds adjoins it) at 256 and 70 at 10am on Friday. I plan to ride Saturday also to get all of the riding in I can before the snow flies. So same plan for Saturday other than maybe a route change. I have been wanting to go South so I will do some research on a Southern route of about the same length for Saturday. Adjustments can be made for anyone interested in going Saturday. Post any time/ location concerns and we'll see what we can coordinate. I will also post an exact trip mileage tomorrow after we get back.
  11. Joey: Won't let me reply to your pm. Says I can only message once every 120 mins, which isn't very helpful. Lol Ah gotcha.....will 10a be alright? I know it takes less than 5 hours for the trip. Probably more like 3 1/2.
  12. Sorry guys. I had a family emergency and I couldn't get online. I am meeting Joey at the shell on 256 and 70. I was thinking like noon. We'll ride the route. Anybody else wants to come is welcome. Then we can do it again Saturday. I can ride both days and I know the roads well. Any problems just mention them and we can make adjustments. Sorry again for the late response....I was going crazy not being able to reply.
  13. I'm in Reynoldsburg but I can meet somewhere Central for everyone. We can make a short pit stop on 79 in Heath if that helps you out Hutch. I can do Friday or Saturday but I imagine Saturday would work best for those that work. And c'mon Bkizz it's an awesome 150 miles. I'll go ride the route tomorrow and get an exact number but it's not bad. The roads are the best I've seen in Ohio and the scenery is great. The curves and elevation changes around the dam on 715 are unlike any other road I've been on. If you want to ride the route with me Friday Joey, I'm down.
  14. Anybody interested in riding Thurs or Friday or Saturday from Columbus? I have a route in mind that I have ridden a couple times this year and I enjoy it. Lots of sweeping curves some tight corners and great scenery. I'm thinking 161 to Newark to 79 North to Nellie. Then 715 West (great road) to 36. Take 36 to 62 at Millwood where we can grab gas and food and then take 62 South back to 161 and home. It's probably 150 to 200 miles and can be done in a few hours. I can ride a whatever pace is comfortable for everyone else. Fast or Slow.
  15. I'm in for sure. Browns have a bye this week and the weather should be GREAT! See ya in Mt. Vernon at 10am.
  16. I'm in Columbus and I think I'm in. Riding my 97 ZX6R Which MC Dealer in Mt Vernon? Meeting there at 10am?
