It's just mapping software that lets you plan a route. Doesn't give any extra info on the roads but works pretty good to just lay out a route. Never ridden these roads before so hopefully they aren't just Harley roads lol. They looked ok from the "Harley".....map hehehe
Man...the adjustments they gave were spot on. Really balanced and brought my bike to life this afternoon. I set it to the suggested settings and then changed a few things to what I thought was right. Then halfway through the ride I was like eff it and changed it to the exact settings they give and the bike was perfectly balanced. Really a great find. I urge people to check out the settings for their bike and try them out.
Guy said he had an 09 Ninja 250cc in Newark area for around 3 grand, probably lower b/c he sounded like he wanted to get rid of it. Said it still had 2 years mfgrs warranty and very low mileage. PM me of you want his number
We can do that. We'll go out 204 and hit 668 to 669 and then hit 555 to 550 and go from there. Should be a good ride and not a whole lot of riding the slabs from Columbus which is nice for a change. Anyone that wants to go along we'll meet at the Shell on 256 right off of 70 in Reynoldsburg at 11am. Should be a nice and warm day for riding and shouldn;t be a whole lot of flat roads.
Joey614 and myself are leaving Columbus just about now and are heading to Newark and then North on 79 and ride in that area for a couple hours then head back. Anyone that wants to join can meet us at the KFC in Newark on 16. We'll leave there by 1:30.
Yeah guys....I didn't have computer access this morning. Stayed at a friend house "if you know what I mean" and when I got up and it was as cold as it was, I reconsidered. I am meeting Joey614 at 12:30 and we're headed towards Newark and North. If anyone wants to meet us at KFC in Newark we'll leave there at 1:30.
I'm starting the ride at 11 at KFC in Nerk which should give it some time to warm up a bit but not too late that we're out riding late. Was thinking I'd have 715 over the dam in the route and 520 and some 541 and 79. I'll put up an official route if anyone is interested.
I'll be riding Sunday. Weather is 65 degrees and partly cloudy. Should be perfect....especially compared to the last two or three days. I have been wanting to ride South in the Hocking and have put together a route that includes the triple nickel. Should be one of the last good weekend days to ride so I'm going to try to get in a good route before the snow flies. Here's the planned route: http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/road.jsp?roadId=440874&locale=en_US Adjustments may be made on the fly depending on the time we have to work with but there should be plenty of time to make the route planned. There is a stop at Jimbo's restaurant for burgers also unless we are short on time in which case we will our discuss options. We are meeting at the Shell gas station on 256 off of the route 70 exit at 11am and will hit some decent roads 15 minutes outside of Columbus. Hope to see some OR guys there.
Found this while looking around online for a setup for my bike and I thought others could use the info. It's a chart with most bikes and suggested suspension settings. The settings they give for my bike are much stiffer than the settings in the owners manual for a 150 lb rider....so I'm guessing it's the recommended settings for someone that actually "rides" their bike. Let me know if it helps anyone. I'm bookmarking it for sure. http://www.sportrider.com/suspension_settings/suspension/146_suggested_suspension_settings/kawasaki.html
Hey Habi: I bet Joey614 is gonna ride this one too. I know you guys have ridden before. If you want to meet us at the Sunoco at Brice & Livingston we can roll into Nerk from there. Unless someone else has another plan for the Cbus guys
Any chance we can start this one a little later like 11:00 or Noon? These early morning rides from Columbus to Newark and I'm a popsicle for the first couple hours of riding. Once the sun has been up for a few hours it's plenty warm.
I love the start time for this one. These early mornings have been freezing riding flat from Columbus to Newark....but two hours later it's plenty warm.
Yeah.....I remember that first day going out with you guys I had to tell myself not to try to keep up like a hundred times. Still do actually... Best thing to do Christian is try to remember what you did wrong and learn from it. Only you can really know what was going through your mind when it happened. When I set mine down I know I made a couple mistakes at once. I've tried not to do that again. Glad you're not hurt and at least it's just plastic....expensive plastic....but plastic.
Im in and Joey's in. We're gonna meet at the Sunoco at Brice and Livingston at 9 cause it's on our side of town. Cpo- if you wanna meet us there you're welcome or you can just head down 161 and meet us in Nerk
Nope I didn't. Ended up waking up to having family stuff planned for me. And of course the weather was not bad at all. Probably would have been a perfect day to ride. Hope some of you guys got some riding in.
I might be down to ride in the afternoon if nobody signs on for the am ride. It will depend on that and the weather and I'll want to be home by 4pm cause the Browns play. They'll probably tear out my heart as usual but I tend to enjoy it til they do. But if nobody wants to ride in the am we could do a quick ride somewhere if it's not raining.
