  1. I'm about 9 1/2 hours away no slab and 6 hours  slab. About 400 miles either way. Weather will be my deciding factor. If I slab prolly just fire up Waze and hammer down and get that part of the trip out of the way. Either way will plan to arrive in Corydon around 6 or 7pm. If anyone wants/needs anything from the Pony I could make a stop.

I hate to say it but I rode the epic ride & I only put 180miles on my bike because I had the trailer because of my dog & had to carry tools to work on a shack but i'm thinking about  buying this  to carry tools and dog & to trailer  Max powers bike down to the gap on the back of my bike

Still may need a trailer. That turns your bike into a 4 wheeler.

  3. A little project I tried with my Harbor Freight lift table. Wheeling a Vfr or A VStrom or my Super Hawk up onto table is pretty easy. You can also put the kickstand down without issue. Bigger bikes that you need to ride up onto the table is another story. Not enough room to put your feet down and if you center the bike the kickstand is useless. It is scary. I had these ramps in the rafters and decided put them to use. Made some bracketed and they just slide into place and are easily removed. Work pretty well.

PM me if you want the dealer name.  I don't want to pimp them since they aren't a sponsor.

I ended up getting a used FJR. Garage is pretty full. Wife says no more. ?

  5. Not being able to demo does suck. A guy I work with just dropped 28K not counting interest on an Indian bagger. I can definitely tell that he has reservations about his purchase. I did the Yamaha demo at state 8 and Hardings Park. HP route was a joke for the most part. No way I could/would have made a decision to drop 15K on a FJR1300 with that ride. State 8 was a lot better. Longer and more spirited. If you decide to do a Vintage Day demo. Be there at the crack of dawn to sign up and get a time slot. If you don't no ride for you.

  6. https://billyscrashhelmets.com/                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          i have absolutely no idea how people come to the conclusion that at a certain price point makes one product superior to another or that because it costs 5-10 times more it is the better or the best. According to the tests https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/ a 70 dollar lazer LZ6 performed better than 4 out of 11 Shoei"s,all 13 Scorpions, all 13 Nolan"s,3 out of 25 HJC's,9 out of 11 Arai's and 8 Schuberth"s.But this is the USA where if some is good more is better seems to be the norm. All the money in China won't buy you the best. Do your homework and buy what works. The first site will keep you busy for awhile.  http://www.webbikeworld.com/  This site has quite a bit of info on motorcycle related goodies.
