Safe journey today guys. Hope you have a great day.

I'm still in as planned up to and including Russelville. Then some Texas BBQ and maybe Gumbo on the Gulf. Eventually making it to my daughter's place in Georgia. No definitive plans. I'm on vacation till July 7. Then retired. My wife may have a few houses for me to check out by then. It's good to hear that you're doing ok Tim. Bummer you can't make this Phil. For anyone on the fence about this. Hundred bucks will get you 3 nights. After that your on your own. Deal for you and it'll save me a few bucks.

Props to you Bubba for making this happen for Jan. I'm sure he will be always grateful. Jan glad you was able to get to ride a bit. I am first generation Czeck American as were. Thought of someday going to visit. Maybe still. Bubba I would like to come down sometime and let you tow me around Kentucky.

Pic links don't work for me so I don't know what you're trying to show. The whine whistle or whatever you want to call it is not negative pressure. It is positive pressure and is being caused by the gas vaporizing creating pressure. A valve holds that pressure at a certain level. When it exceeds that limit it vents causing whistle whistle whine whine smell smell. What you hear when you open the cap is pressure release not vacuum. If it was vacuum you would have to somewhat force the cap open. Why does this happen when you park? Thanks for asking. Think about it. As you are riding the all the heat from the engine is getting blown straight back and also is going around the tank cooling it as well. When you stop the heat from that hot lump of metal goes straight up trying to percolate the gas in the tank creating excessive pressure that is released. Hence the smell. All the above is null in void if you have an actual fuel leak. Two things that can help a little. One park it outside while you stow your gear a and let it cool down. Two is to fill your tank at the closest gas station before you go home. Till next time. Class over. I gotta go to work.

Must not have been them then. Could have sworn it was.
Not me Dan. Tonik and I left Wooster about 9:45ish headed south. If it was me I would have been blowing my horn. I always do. I will stop one of these days. I promise.

Praying for favorable results from your tests and a speedy recovery. Major bummer. Hang tough.

Congrats to you both. Funny how self inflicted pain can be so gratifying.

Wait, I thought we were meeting at 11? Did you move back to Michigan?
He says 15 minutes but his clock turns very slow. More like 1 hour and 15.

Good for you, Sam. Lycra and fancy shoes are not necessary for Towpath cycling. I remember when I couldn't do more than 20 miles. Keep at it and don't push too hard. As close as you live to the trailhead it's silly to not own a bike. A quick ride to Canal Fulton for ice cream, beer or lunch and then head home. Easy workout. Fresh air. No gym membership.
I can remember when I used to be able to ride 20-30-70-80 miles?. Lotsa decent bikes on Craigslist at Wally World prices.

Starting to worry about this pork. Never done Boston butts before. After it hit 170 I pulled it out of the smoker to wrap in foil and put back in to braise and it was....Not tender. Hoping the additional time cooking in foil will help break it down. If not, well, there's still a lot of sausage.
Yes, I'm self-conscious about the condition of my meat.
170 is a little early IMO. 190-195. What was cooker temp? How long was cook time? I'm a wood/charcoal guy. I only wrap pork when the bark is where I want it and internal temp is not there yet. Alway wrap to rest. It's pork. What's not to like.

Ordered tires. Only possible negative, they're coming from Las Vegas. Probably not the ideal storage location.
Make sure you fill them with the proper coolant.

Thanks
Advil is keeping me mobile and I have a prescription for stronger if I needed it.
The trucks fender and mirror look pretty bad too.
Seems like a nice enough gentleman but he is still trying to figure out what he did wrong.
"I was as far over in my lane as I could get, I couldn't go farther due to an oncoming car."
It doesn't occur to him to slow up and wait for the oncoming car to clear. There is no way to safely pass anything in your lane on a narrow 2 lane with no shoulder.
Luckily he told the cop what happened because I have no idea. I don't remember anything until about 1/2 hr later.
Don't forget the new 3ft. Law just went into effect.

I don't know where the extra kick comes in on a SV but on my VStrom you can definitely feel an extra kick at 5500 RPM which would explain what you have experienced. Not a whole lot of bang below that..
