  2. 07 gsxr 600 wont crank for anything

    well guys think i tracked it down. i opend the startbutton up and found that it was only seeing 8volts there instead of 12. so i tried jumping the starter relay and it tried to crank.

    when i try to press starter button it wont make the relay click so im thinking that when i had car battery hooked up it had more then enough volts to make conncetion. but otherwise its shot.

    Okay you have ruled out the relay by jumping it.More voltage or amperage does not make a switch work better.If you have voltage going into the switch and comming out of the switch and that out voltage is not getting to the relay the problem is in that cuircut.Did you try and crank with clutch squeezed? Did you try and crank with side stand up and clutch squeezed?It is possible that the neutral safety switch is not working properly.This is a maybe because if it is in the circut before start button and is bad..you would not have voltage to the switch.If it is after switch it could be the problem.Did you hold in switch and wiggle as much wiring as possible? You are going to have to check that circut out next.

    Sure, next season ride with us when ever the madmax core team is not ripping them street. I we find time to talk I can may be even try to pick up some riding tips and also learn that accent, Indian accent sux need to develop something neutral :D

    Jerry I think u were really pushing it yesterday to make it fun for imprez

    But thx for the compliment anyways I just rode because I thought people were coming, if they posted earlier about bail we could have bailed and did 164 646 in the afternoon time, but goOd we made the slab or else imprez would have been mad at us for the rest of his life :D

    I hope imprez made it home ok.Check engine light came on after gassing up in Lisbon.Made a quick check..nothing obvious,ran ok he said.Gave the thumbs up where he peeled off on 14 in Salem.Feel bad now..should have hung with him a while longer.He did say that he was expecting a little more so I turned it up a little.If that youngster wants anymore...he is gonna have to hook up with the CORE guys :). That's about all this old man and old bike had :D...Maybe:rolleyes:. Bad ... you missed a good run on 646...You would have liked the bottom part.

Hell I could not even buy beer or vote.My brother fought in Korea and I beleive had memories of things that haunted him. War is bad he said...I know what he meant.Enlist for 4 years or get drafted for 2? I chose the Navy for 4 years and served my country well. I had good duty...Married my best friend at 18...42 years ago come this March. Sorry for the rant but somtimes I have to....Though I did serve. To this day I feel as though I crapped out by not taking the draft and probably going to Nam. Maybe I could saved another soldiers life. Happy Veterans Day to all the Vets.Thank a Vet... They will appreciate it.... And to those that gave all say a prayer for them.They can no longer enjoy the freedom that they fought for.....Hopefully they are at peace ....In God's Hands--------------------SALUTE

    Nice meeting you guys today - thanks for letting me tag along for a while.

    I was wearing a Synergy heated jacket and gloves so the cold wasn't an issue - but I had to get back early anyway, so split off from the group in Scio and headed up the 'other' part of 646.

    See you all again soon.

    (I was beginning to wonder if Nivin had changed his mind about riding when he was hiding in the [warm cozy] Dairy Queen)

    Nice meeting you as well. Would be nice of you you to maybe show us around your backyard as you called it.....As long as the price of admission is not too high............A toll ?? I beleive you called it...and yes I think you are correct.Doc did not want to come out and play.

    Doc you did not find your limit yet, you could still ride...right?:)

    I had a solo ride today on most of the route I posted earlier in this thread...gonna hit it again in the morning...:D

    I gotta give the Doc some props :bow:.We had not even left Canfeild yet..Just having fueled up.1 1/2 hrs. just to get to B-var ahead of us.He had the look of fear on his face of what was to be:eek:.I don't think that he even wanted to come out of the gas station.He got out his phone and checked for posts....I said Doc...Do you want to bail? He said no,it would not look good if I don't show..I have a commitment.People may be there waiting...He did not bail and found his limits as we all have. How cold was he??????? He could not even turn his camera on :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:!!

    Back home from Doc's Popsicle 250. I do believe he found his temperature/pain limit today. Good ride but less traffic in some spots would have been better. Ya Doc...........646 is a good time. I hope these new tires stick better when it is warmer out.Slid them a couple times without warning and once when I biffed a turn and chopped the throttle mid-turn.Nice meeting you Bam Bam and imprez55.

    I've got good news and bad news. My contourHD showed up today and I ghetto rigged a "mount" to work with my gopro mount, I'm hoping it holds up but if not it luckily comes with a tether for less worries

    The bad news is while testing the mount riding around the neighborhood, my shoulder was in severe pain. Its been hurting all week but figured it would go away by now so theres a chance I may not be able to go

    dayum lotgod is out again, so jerry do we met at canfeild and take the back roads to bolivar? there is BP gas station right off the exit from 11. we can meet around 9:30ish?
