  1. I think one of the more important things to prepare for is that we are in this together. People will die, but if we stick together we can win this. I don't want to die, I don't want my family in harms way, but any person with sense knows that when the guns are gone your ass and your children's asses are going to be raped.

It is wise we all start preparing for this together, create a plan. They can win if they tackle us one by one, but that is only if we allow them to do this. We have to be a team. We The People have individual rights that the government Must obey, otherwise our government is no longer for The People and are nothing more than the enemy.

The People should not comply with laws of the enemy.

  2. Here is how I am taking this...

The driver went to the insurance company and said, "you know what, I don't really want to pay a higher premium. I will take the risk that my insurance company will not cover the value of a vehicle and I may be sued and have to pay out of my own pocket."

The driver took that risk. Now simply sue him for the value of the vehicle.

What I recommend is speaking with an attorney to see how this salvage title is going to work out in court. Because getting that salvage title on your vehicle just massively screwed you (I think).

The way I look at this, as far as I can assume, the guy admitted fault, the insurance company admitted fault, it is a pretty clear win in court. The guy will have to pay damages. There is the question of how much at fault was he, though. Was any of this your (daughter) fault? That could be considered in a payout in court. But, if this guy is completely at fault, this is an easy win and he owes you some money.

I don't think you need to hire an attorney to represent you if you can get your stuff together, but I do believe you really need to speak with an attorney to get educated and how this will all play out. Many attorney's offer free consultation. Or go to a legal forum and see if anyone is willing to give advice. There are a few forums that I have used in the past for general legal advice.

  3. Sounds to me that you are stuck either suing the other driver (not the insurance company) or taking what the insurance company offers. I think you should sue the other driver.

Kind of unfortunate you already got the salvage title if you will be suing the other driver.

Although, I'm confused... to my understanding the insurance company only requires a salvage title if the cost to repair the vehicle is greater than the value of the vehicle (total loss payout). In this case, they are not giving you a total loss payout, they are only giving you the total amount that the customer is insured for.

I do think an attorney is needed in this situation. Bummed for you that you already got the salvage title. Based on what you are stating, if true, sounds like you are getting severely screwed.

I'm not a lawyer or an insurance agent. Just stating this based on my own personal experiences in these situations.

  4. Pretty interesting so far. Pretty helpful. I found some things a bit surprising, or not surprising depends on how you look at it. I've barely touched the surface of it. I'll keep my opinions to myself at the moment, but a few of these have really pissed me off. Would like to know all your thoughts on some of these.

  5. But Reilly's ordinance would not necessarily target loud motorcycles, such as Harley-Davidsons, by decibel levels, but instead takes aim at those with altered mufflers.

So, as long as it is a 'Harley', you are good to make as much noise as you want. But! If you take off the muffler, you may get ass raped by the police. ... Maybe it is just poorly described...

  6. As far as I know it would not be more expensive because they are not insuring the vehicle, just the damage you do to other things/people. This is my limited understanding of it. I could be wrong.

I know certain insurance companies will not insure rebuilt vehicles. They may have other non-standard companies, or there are probably insurance companies out there that do. To my understanding, a rebuilt motorcycle is harder to find an insurance company to insure than a rebuilt car.

Just hit up an independent agent that works with multiple insurance companies and can figure out what company will insure it.

  7. To my understanding the rebuilt title probably won't be to hard. Finding insurance will be the harder part and they may not offer comprehensive or collision, likely liability only, if you can find a company to insure it.

  8. It's a bogus law that can't possibly actually be enforced. No cop worth a damn is going to cite someone for letting their car warm. Shit, I got busted for selling cigarettes to a school mate when I was a kid, which was bullshit because his father told me to, and the cop actually said, "I am not going to bust you because if I bring in a kid for selling cigarettes to another kid.. I'll be laughed out of the station."

Cops don't give a damn about your car... running, or not.

I guess, until they decide they need to get your information to cite you, see that you had been searched for marijuana in the past, claim that you 'look' like your holding you're butt cheeks tightly, and decided to ass rape you for 14 hours, then send you the bill.

So, I guess I agree, any cop that is worth a damn won't enforce. Maybe crossing your fingers will get you a worth a damn cop... just maybe.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Scientists say nature and man together cooked up the disaster that has devastated parts of the Philippines.

Typhoon Haiyan (HY'-ahn) smacked the island nation with fierce winds and a deadly storm surge. The Philippines sit in the middle of the world's most storm-prone region, which gets some of the biggest typhoons because of vast expanses of warm water that act as fuel.

But meteorologists say humans played a big role in this disaster — probably bigger than nature's.

Factors in the unfolding tragedy include poverty and a tremendous growth in population, much of it in vulnerable coastal areas with poor construction.

Is this one of those 'Captain Obvious' posts, or just 'I really have nothing useful to say, so I'll just post something' posts?

I feel like he could have summed it up like this:

Man should consider where they live, or else.

  10. Saw this headline on Google News and had to click on it...

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/30/obese-halloween-letter/3312537/

A Fargo, N.D., woman says she will give trick-or-treaters that she deems "moderately obese" a letter instead of candy this Halloween.

"I just want to send a message to the parents of kids that are really overweight. ... I think it's just really irresponsible of parents to send them out looking for free candy just 'cause all the other kids are doing it," the woman said in a morning radio interview withY94. She wouldn't identify herself.

The letter states: "Your child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season."
