  1. It was definitely water in the tank. It was a really heavy rain and my bike was basically sitting directly under a waterfall of rain coming off the slanted roof.

I drained the tank and it started without issue. As I was draining, you could tell there was a lot of water in there. Looked like water was coming out, not gas.

Bike would idle all day long, the moment I barely touched the throttle the bike would cut out.

  2. I can understand that, but still sounds amazingly shady to me. Seems like they take advantage of people.

Just seems like a shady scam, can't get the bad taste out of my mouth.

I would think giving my money and sitting in line to race would be enough to say "Hey, I plan on racing today!"

  3. This Sunday I left my bike in some heavy rain in Mt Vernon area. Went to start the bike after the rain and all it would do is idle *facepalm. Water must have gotten into the tank. Left it there and jumped in the car with my wife to drive back to Columbus. It is so lonely up there.

I am going to drain the tank when I get up there and put some fresh gas in. Bike is so lonely, though... and so am I

  4. Looks promising, been there? Besides the state park anything else in the area?

I've been there. Was awesome. It has been probably over 10 years since I was last there, but it is by far more pleasing to look at than Niagara falls. If you want to see a gigantic waterfall with a lot of water and spend about 10 mins looking at it, go to Niagara. If you want a calm and simply very pleasing to the eye location where you can walk and have fun, Letchworth State Park.

At the time we could walk down to the water, climb up rocks, look over cliffs. Really cool.

It has been so long since I hit that location up, I'll have to hit up my Grandmother who I used to visit and she took me to all these different places. She probably has a few suggestions. I just forgot the names of everything.

i'll send her a message and get back to you soon.

Type in Letchworth State Park in Google and then look at images. Also, Letchworth is not too far from Niagara, so you could probably make a day ride to Niagara and come back without having to pay for hotels fees in that area. Also, unless you have passports, you are pretty limited to what you can see in Niagara.

  5. I have a few things laying around.

I have a Harley XL/Buell XB rear head in like new condition. Doesn't even look like it was used. Does have a couple fins that are broken. Nothing major, just some corners.

I have used XB Rear Cams.

    I have used Blast Cams.

I have used valves for XB/XL head.

Have used rockers and rocker box for Buell/Harley XB/XL head.

Have a beat up V&H muffler that could use a few welds.

I have a used Blast piston.

    I have random Blast parts.

    Have used XB/XL/Blast lifters.

Just make an offer. I can provide pics.

  6. I agree with you, but here is where I am coming from... he already has a air/fuel mixture problem and doesn't want to spend a bunch of money attempting to fix it right now (completely fix it). He could at least put in larger jets than he has now to run a touch richer to maybe compensate for the increased air.

I don't know the bike, so I'll shut my mouth. That is just where I was coming from...

  7. Well this one is carb'd so no electronic mapping etc. I would just need a jet kit but thats a pricey install and I'm not sure I'm really up for the challenge of a self install on that yet!

Pricey? How hard is it to rejet your carb on the Ducati? I guess I don't know the bike that well, but rejetting is usually pretty cheap, easy, and totally DIY. What 15-20 bucks for jets after shipping at most?

    Am I wrong?
