  1. Yea, I picked up a full carbon WDK F1 Pro... gonna build it over winter. Was hoping to sell my ski to fund it, but I'm probably going to have to keep it until spring.
  2. I'll be at Alum Creek Friday afternoon if anyone wants to ride it! As for MPH, that's not usually the standard measurement of performance for standups, it's how far you can get it out of the water! I would say I've had it at least 6-8ft off of some boat wakes. I'm not good enough to roll it yet (or grown the balls), but it is more than capable of it.
  3. I'm going to be building a new ski over the winter so I figured I would try to sell my current ski RTR before I scavenge it for parts. I am currently riding the ski at least once a week, so feel free to come try it out anytime! This ski rips! Asking $5500 OBO, don't be afraid to make an offer! I can also throw in a double standup trailer... 4. East Harbor Marina charges $7 daily for ramp passes...
  5. I've been manning up for a year! A few weeks ago I decided it would be a good idea to ride the 1.5 hour trip up to Erie, ride my Superjet with a -4" pole for 3 hours, then ride back. I was all manned out after that... I do really like the bike, I just figured there might be something else out there that is even better. Anyone know anywhere I could test ride a Speed Triple?
  6. Get an X. Yea they're heavier and do not have the 4g, but they make a damn nice & quick DD! Very comfortable and handle like crazy. Also clean ones can be found for cheaper than 8/9s. I picked up my GSR with 25k miles/FP Red/full exhaust/injectors/clutch for $21k 1.5 years ago. Haven't looked at prices lately but I'm sure they've dropped.
  7. I've put about 5000 miles on my 2004 R6 since I bought it as my first bike last August. I've painted it, put on an exhaust/chain/sprocket, and done a few other minor mods to it. It's been a reliable bike and was great at the track day I recently went to, but I do get tired of having to rev the piss out of it to go anywhere quickly and rides over an hour long get kind of brutal. I've been thinking about getting something along the lines of a Speed Triple this winter. I'm looking for something that perform as well or better than the R6. Mostly for street riding with 3-4 track days per year. Anyone have any suggestions?
  8. ^+1, the Joker was far better than Bane. Movie was okay I suppose but nothing special.
  9. I have had a Miller EconoTIG for several years now and never had a single problem with it. Great for smaller jobs. You can pick them up used for ~$1200... or new for ~$1300. Water cooled torches are very nice if you are welding high amperage stuff or welding for extended periods of time. There have been times where I had to wrap another leather glove around my torch just so I could hold it without burning myself. If you're a baller though definitely get one with a water cooled torch, pulse, AC balance adjustment.
  10. ^Not me BTW, just a pic pulled from Google as an example...
  11. Nah, I was on the white/black R6 with no decals and white/red leathers.
  12. Damn it was hot out there today! I about died sitting on the grid during a red flag... Damn fun though and really improved my riding.
  13. I'll be on the white and black R6, looking and riding like a damn n00b...
  14. Got a response from Rotax Racing, they said it is for 2004-2005 models only, 8500 RPM limit, stock injectors, stock valvetrain.
  15. 2002 RN SJ completely rebuilt from the hull up Ported 701 with +1.5mm pistons (~730cc) ADA girdled head with 195/195 psi Dual 44mm SBN carbs with Prok FAs and Outerwears R&D drypipe with Jetworks water injection set up by Art Gomez/Jetworks flow control on stinger -4 AC pole with spring/Blowsion limit strap/Blowsion 0 degree bars/UMI throttle/quicksteer/ODI grips Wamiltons/Thrust trim with Blowsion lever Fast Elements D-cut rideplate R&D Pro2 double deep grate Solas 13/17 prop with Wamiltons stubby cone Stock waterbox modified with new baffle plate and Rad Dudes exhaust 24/7 hood, nosepiece, and footholds http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/2002%20RN%20Superjet/IMG_20120625_210831.jpg I've worked my ass off for the past 2-3 months going through every nut and bolt on this ski. Can't wait to ride it!
  16. Anyone know of some good places in central Ohio that stock Mikuni carb jets/springs/etc? I'm going to be tuning my new ski build this week but need some larger jets first. Also, is anyone here good at tuning ski carbs? This will be my first time... Thanks
  17. Well I decided to do it on the 6th instead. I was going to have a friend or two come to help me out; do they charge for spectators? The track time runs from 3:30PM-9:00PM, what time should I be there for tech inspections and whatnot?
  18. I've read many people are getting good results with shimming the springs if you aren't planning on a major increase in RPMs.
  19. Came programmed for a 2005. No other mods as of right now, unless you want a free but leaky Riva intercooler...
  20. It came with it, but is in original packaging and has never been installed. You could be right; I will email RR and get the exact details...
  21. Well I just so happen to have a brand new Rotax Racing "Stock Class" aftermarket ECU for sale that will plug right in. Rotax claims +10-15 HP throughout the powerband and the rev limit bumped up to a level still safe for stock valvetrain. Designed to be used with stock injectors and valvetrain. This ECU is $1400 from RR, I've decided to just keep the ski the way it is and dump the money into my Superjet instead. I'm pretty sure this ECU will work on any 2004-2006 215. Asking $650 OBO...
  22. Hahaha, I'm sure it will be a while before that happens. Probably will be told I'm not even ready for Novice...
