  1. So what temp did you end up taking it too, and how did it turn out?




    150, it was still plenty rare. Had a strong smoke flavor. It was still good but the kids didn't like it. As fast as it cooked I probably didn't need the 2nd batch of wood chips.

    I'm looking for a beef brisket to smoke around Christmas time. $8 a pound at my local giant eagle.
  2. It's really Wi-Fi.

    Turning cellular data and Wi-Fi off, then opening the GoPro capture app, you can see Wi-Fi coming back on looking for your camera.



    Really? I guess I dont get it. When I think of wifi I'm thinking of something connected to the internet. So how does the wifi remote work, with no cellular involved? I was hoping to use the app in Wv. But if it needs wifi that idea is out, since there's no service there except at the top of the mountains.

    Battery is swollen and it won't hold a charge. Should just need a new battery.

  4. Smoking some beef eye of the round today. And reading anywhere from internal temps of 125 to 160! I was thinking around 145 but looking for what you all recommend, thx and this is time sensitive as I'm at 110 degrees now.

    I picked up an 04 Explorer V8 AWD Eddie Baur, clean as hell for a steal not too long ago. It's no sports car but it tows shit. Cant wait for the white stuff to fall so I can see how this AWD thing works (never had 4wd or awd).




    Keep in mind the 4wd & awd go better than 2wd on snow & ice, but they all stop the same!
