Thanks for info. Now i need recommendations on a quality meat thermometer, as well as one for the smoker, as I have read the ones on the doors are not very accurate. Also wondering where's a good/cheap place to buy the wood chips?

So 2-3 hrs of smoke even on like a big slab of meat like large roast or brisket? I have alot to learn, but I hope the good grub will be rewarding!

Agreed. I have soaked them, and have used them without soaking. And the smoke comes on quicker, without.

It makes sense that the chips would smoke quicker without soaking, but on the other hand wouldn't they burn up quicker?

Thanks for the info and pictures. I've read you need to season the smokers? Is this a one time thing or do you need to do it more often? And how long do you soak the wood chips? I've read anything from a couple hours to 24!

I went back there with my son and his wife over the 4th of July weekend. The trails weren't near as muddy as the 1st weekend of April. They certainly have improved and added a lot to the trails since the 1st time i was there. It's a lot smaller than Wayne, but sometimes it's hard for me to find areas I road before. Like last year my buddy and i was stuck on the maze trail for awhile, and I didn't even see that either time I went this year! 

I have a new electric smoker on the way. I've always loved smoke fish, & beef brisket. I know that's just a couple of things you can smoke but those are my 2 favorites. I've never smoke anything before, so I'm looking for any tips & advice. Also wondering the best type of wood chips and best place to purchase, that others recommend. I will be trying some of the Weber brand mesquite chips, with a beef shoulder roast to start. My smoker won't be delivered until next Monday, so I'm doing some research and looking for tips from other smokers, thanks

How much did you pay for the 3/4" plywood? Lowes has Advantech for $28 and that stuff will pretty much never warp! Seen it laid for floor decking on news homes, that sit all winter before the walls and trusses are set in the spring and it still looks new.

For sure on pricing! What's the deal with the ATI brand, is it worth a shit? I like the Glock prices but the ATI is dirt cheap.

Anyone update to the anniversary issue yet? I ran the update friday. Also updated the OS on my mac the same day. No issues yet with either.

I'm using it without issues. At 1st this phone wouldn't send picts from app but now it does.

Yup wayne.The trails were perfect. Quit raining early Friday evening and so the muck could run off and Saturday was beautiful for riding.

Sounds like a good ride, any other bubbys ride with you?

Then he will head off, he has to sign back in by 0800 @ Camp Lejeune. And my uncle and his wife are coming to visit sat & sun. We're planing a big ride in WV on Oct. 22nd.

Good idea's, I did call the 10tv hot line because I'm pretty sure this is the same car lot that sold a unlicensed driver buy 2 cars and she wrecked 1st one. Second car she killed a kid! I was under the impression you had to show the car lot you had insurance. As well as when you get your drivers license when you check the box if you have insurance. I'm pretty sure if you answer no, they don't take your picture.

Well god damn it, do it again.

Since this is minor damage this time, 1st I'm going to give this kid a chance to pay for the damages. Atleast he seamed sincere about making it right, unlike the 1st dough bag's.

And I did that to the kid and his mother that hit my garage a couple yrs ago.

Idk I'm sure if I crashed into someone's shit without insurance I'd loose my license on the spot and most like end up in jail.
