Depends on the car I guess, but I prefer a wave over a rev (in either direction). Driving a Mustang always had idiots revving the shit out of their cars at me no matter where I drove, in the Dart I tend to get thumbs up and waves while driving, then when I park it attracts dumb rednecks whose uncles '65 Malibu with a 327 will pop wheelies and has never been beat...
  2. Love the Chevelle and Camaro. Pro Street needs to make a comeback.
  3. Sorry. Grabbed it from a friend's fb who has had plenty of legit articles and videos, assumed it was good.
  4. http://youtu.be/IschF-ihjS0 Video of the helicopter being hit by the TOW.
  5. Just don't believe Coach Meyer will leave it at the minimum punishment. For the team's sake, I hope it stays at one game (although I don't feel like Illinois is a threat), but I expect Coach Meyer to go a step beyond the minimum to set an example. I wonder how long it'll take him to get the starting position back.
  6. Uber drivers are pretty rough on transmissions.

    Nashville TN

My wife and I went with some friends a couple months ago and it was one of my favorite cities ever. We did a tour with The Pedal Tavern the first day, and honestly it helped us tremendously with getting familiar with the area and our guide gave great advice for saving money and time. I'll try to give some insight, but most of the trip is hazy now. Lol I felt like most of the bars on Broadway were too crowded to enjoy and played rap/pop/club country stuff. If that's what you're looking for, by all means, that's where to find it. My favorite bar was Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie (something close to that). I can't remember the name of the street, but at the end of Broadway by the river, there were a few bars in a row that had plenty of elbow room and great live music, more traditional type country. I'm thinking one of those bars was The Silver Dollar or something like that. The George Jones museum has a rooftop bar, which was awesome. Two Bits is a bar with a bunch of free old school arcade games and a tv for every booth with different gaming systems hooked up. Uber is a good way to get around, but they also have a "free" golf cart service. You'll see them everywhere, just call them up and they work on tips. If you insist on driving yourself, just a block or two off Broadway makes the difference between $20+ for a couple hours to $10 for 24 hours. Manny's House of Pizza in Arcade Alley was awesome. Small, dirty outdated place, but perfect pizza atmosphere with authentic dudes working and Manny himself in the back haha. The Grilled Cheeserie is a food truck that sets up at different locations, a little pricey for what it was, but good sandwiches. Martins BBQ was pretty good, and if you want to see what hot chicken is all about, I thought Hattie B's was a really good lunch. Not sure if it's anything that'd interest you, but we also went to a place called The Great Escape one night and had a blast. They had different rooms you could choose, and each room is game that you're locked into and have to find clues to escape in time. The room required 6 people, so we got paired up with another couple. Luckily, they were really cool and all of us were pretty shitfaced but tried to act super focused and intelligent, which made for some pretty funny one liners. We didn't make it out in time, missed it by 2 minutes.
  8. Built heads, then sell your factory heads (I realize one is junk) to soften the blow. I think if you had the one rebuilt and swapped springs on the other, it wouldn't be long before you'd wish you had just spent the extra grand to have 2 brand new p&p heads with upgraded springs and valves. The labor is a wash because it's necessary for either option, correct?
  9. Holy crap. Dyno operator was a moron. I was cringing the longer that pull went, seemed like it took forever, especially for a car that should've been making 600+. Sounds like he just put it in overdrive and floored it. I was expecting the shredded bumper and quarter panel damage, but was pretty surprised at how wadded up the inner structure was too, that's going to be quite a bit of work to repair.
  10. Very cool of you. My boy is only 3, if he was older I'd make the drive up to get it. +rep
  11. Great post. Very helpful. Quick question though, how much neon lighting and vinyl would be needed to achieve a 5 star rep?
  12. Again, great cars, but there are plenty out there for the same price with similar or less miles with a clean title. Don't worry about finding a modded car. You need a reliable family oriented car that can be driven anywhere at anytime with no concern.
  13. Apparently you left before you got to know the_buster. Read his past threads and educate yourself. Perhaps you'll see why he should definitely not buy a Miata and turbo it.
  14. Jesus. Christ. Do your research outside of video games and movies. This is why you'll never be taken seriously, ever.
  15. I owned a couple SRT4 Neons and a '08 Jetta 2.0T when they were new/fairly new and have driven a '07 Civic Si sedan daily for the last 2 years or more. Look into an Si, for the price range I think they're a great blend of sporty, economic, not too outdated, and family friendly. Very little mechanical problems also, and it seems like there are a lot more out there and owned by a more mature group than SRT4s and GTI/GLIs, so much better chance of finding a clean, unmolested one.
  16. Damn, that's an awful way to start the day. Glad your wife is mostly ok, sorry that badass car is not.
  17. Awesome. I really like the 71-72 cars, when I was really young my grandpa had a red/black stripe '72 SS with a 454 that won quite a few big shows.
  18. Yes, same thing. The trucks you pictured are stock bodied, stock suspension trucks with aggressive tires and a vinyl wrap.
  19. So he took a stock Ram, did a vinyl wrap, mild drop, off road tires, then called it rad over and over in the article he wrote about his own truck? Got it.
