  1. It's on Velocity channel now and follows the original format. Owner doesn't know the car is being customized, and everything is shown. I agree the way they changed things around on Discovery sucked, but I still watched it. Clay, I'd say they're out there somewhere. If Velocity has a site I'm sure there's clips on there. The 2nd episode of the Lotus came on at 11:00, it's looking amazing and very different from what is usually built on Overhaulin'.
  2. I just had the biggest heartbreak ever. I watched last week and couldn't wait to see the final product, yet when I checked my DVR, Dish has fucked me. For the last few days, no info has been displayed for Velocity, only "This channel is moving to 246". When is it moving? June fucking 12th. Over a week away. Why the fuck do I need to know this now?! Apparently because there is no info, the new Overhaulin' was not recorded, and I can not see when it might be on again. I don't know why it did this though, it recorded Wheeler Dealers a few nights ago under the same circumstances.
  3. I know there are more possibilities, but he seems to gravitate 'Merican. I suppose with the Stealth, a Conquest/Starion is also possible. Perhaps a 4G63?
  4. RWD turbo 4. I'm going to go with a 2.3T Ford product.
  5. On the in-car view you can hear the bov a ton, sounds to me like he was pedaling it. Unfortunately he must not know how to modulate the throttle and not use it as an on/off switch. I call bullshit on the "Mustang needs a new skinny, Porsche needs the wheel repainted" accident report. There had to be some sheet metal contact if the wheels touched.
  6. Is it the one that was on Craigslist with the damage near the scoop? If so, good deal.
  7. Some sexual sounds. That F100 was badass.
  8. I believe I remember this being an automatic.
  9. Another vote for C5. They're cheap on insurance and get awesome gas mileage for the performance. I regularly saw 30 mpg or better on the highway. You can find an '01 Z06 for $15k. I paid $16.5k for mine a couple years ago, '01 with 73k clean title, had a cam, longtubes, RPM level 4 trans, CCW Classics on brand new Kuhmo Ecsta XS tires and some other goodies. It wasn't an average price by any means, but they're out there. However, I would suggest finding a 99-00 FRC instead. They can be found for 10-12k fairly easily, has the same hardtop body as the Z06, but then you could put that extra money towards aftermarket suspension and seats or whatever to improve it over a stock Z06.
  10. I'm guessing it's your first baby if you think getting a kid/car seat in and out of the back of a coupe will be easy. I did it a few times with a rear facing seat in my Terminator, pain in the dick. Face it daddy, four doors is where it's at!
  11. Is this a serious question? CTS-V without a doubt.
  12. Thanks guys. A friend stopped by last night, rode the KZ to the end of the street, came back and said he'd take it. I really enjoy riding it and wanted to finish the cafe build, but he has the same vision for it and this will give me some space and cash for the Harley. Also, I have a second '77 KZ650 I bought from a friend that already had a nice start to a cafe bike, just a little rougher before I bought the all original one. It was completely disassembled and ended up being used as a donor for the nice bike, but my friend buying the nice KZ doesn't want the donor, so it looks like I might do a real bare bones cafe build on it this fall/winter. I got it cheap, and with the small profit I'm making on the nice KZ, I'm essentially in it for free.
  13. Front plates LOL Really though, nice cars. I have casually looked at them for a daily, but it seems like once you add a few options the price gets pretty crazy for a FWD Focus.
  14. I'm selling it, realistically it won't get ridden much at all anymore. I have a few locals who have said they're interested in it, but if they fall through I'll make a listing. The way I did everything is completely reversible and the white is Plastidip, so it could be back to 100% stock in a weekend easily. I actually have a second '77 as well with a title. It's complete, but disassembled and the frame has been bobbed and some brackets cut off. I figured I'd offer it to whoever buys the nice KZ first, but if they don't want it, it will be a cheap project bike ready for a winter build.
  15. A little background, I bought my first street bike back in February to get my feet wet and have something to tinker with in the garage between cars. Ended up finding a cherry all original '77 KZ650 at a dealership and did a mild cafe build on it. It still needs some bars, and lowered a bit more to satisfy me, but after yesterday I doubt I'll do anything else but sell it. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/2BA9F2FA-E034-49C5-9CDB-AD263C7DDBBC-121-00000000AD548CF5_zps833f3a56.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/9EE3454D-8BC9-4D3B-B126-C6F7BE894F2E-9955-00000BE076327988_zpsd9796712.jpg Saturday a friend of mine said he was ready to sell his Harley to prepare to move to Florida. I have been looking at Nightsters, but was still having a blast on my KZ so I wasn't in any rush. After looking at his bike yesterday and being told a Sportster price, I bought it and I'm in love. 2008 Street Bob with 5k miles. Had a passenger seat and sissy bar which I removed as soon as I got it home. Planning on doing a few small cheap things (flip the mirrors, lower the front fender, shorter shocks, etc.) I think they'll make a big difference and keep me happy for a while. Supposedly one of the Ricart brothers bought it new, then my buddy bought it at their dealership last year. Anybody know what pipes are on it? I'm thinking about switching to black V&H Short Shots but would like to know what's already on it if I sell them. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/867EA142-3A93-4B58-A029-59F0D87708B5-9955-00000BE0A6A82BCE_zps73e5f9ab.jpg
  16. You are 10 whp away from me giving a damn. Seriously, that's one bad ride and looks the part!
  17. So many puppies will be kicked this weekend.
  18. All are amazing, but the photos/videos that always hit me are when a deaf person hears sound for the first time, and I don't even know any deaf people. I just can't imagine the feelings of seeing the person hear your voice for the first time, or the feelings of shock, fear, excitement, etc felt by the deaf person. Dem feelz.
  19. I agree, I think between 6000-6500 is the sweet spot. Make a couple passes shifting at 6000, then 6500, then 7000 trying to be consistent as possible and see what happens.
  20. I think most people would be more turned off with the task of trying to resell it later on. I have no problem with rebuilt cars, I've owned one and been around a lot of them that you would never know a thing happened to them, but they're a pain in the ass to sell because people either think they're full of problems or expect them to be 1/2 price of a clear title regardless of the condition. I always tell people just look the car over really well, drive it, and find out as much about the history and repairs as possible. If nothing throws up a red flag, then it's a great chance to get what you want at a better price. It's not like it has a scarlet letter on the hood or something.
  21. A majority of those boats had like 8-9 brotatoes and 1-2 girls.
