Fuuuuu I was thinking the Mustang. Is your Dart Orange? My buddy has an orange one and we were talking about doing some pics when the leaves turn color. Orange overload.

I rarely play games anymore, but when I do it's the 360 90% of the time. I think I'll get GTA for PS3 though due to me having way more storage on it, and GT6 will be released for PS3 as well. I don't have any intentions of buying either new console, so it seems like I'll be able to squeeze some more "new" life out of the PS3. I suppose there's a little nostalgia there too as far as the combo of GTA and PS goes.

Me and you, or the cars? If we're talking cars, I'm out.

A '68 Dart or Roadrunner has always been my "achievable dream car", but I got an awesome deal on this one. I just always thought the round marker lights looked better.

Thanks guys! A 6.1 with a 6 speed would be tits mcghee, but I doubt there will be any major drivetrain changes for a while aside from the gear. Since it's not a factory GTS and already fairly modded, I don't really care too much about originality. Hopefully just have some fun with it and maybe try out a few different configurations.

Well, after about a 7 month search for a new garage ornament and lots of disappointments, I fell into a right place right time situation and couldn't be happier. Picked up a '69 Dart GTS clone over the weekend. The story was a man built the car in 2007-2008, got sick around 2011 and put it in storage, then passed away shortly after. His widow asked their ex son-in-law to sell it for her, and I was the first person there. It's set up more for the track or cruising town than the highway, but I plan to make some changes to make it more highway friendly. It came with a large stack of reciepts and notes that have been really helpful. The car was done well, but sitting in storage took a small toll on the cleanliness of it, so I've been spending most of my time cleaning on it. There's some bad bodywork showing on the passenger lower quarter, otherwise it's pretty mint. I plan on changing the '68 stripe to the correct '69 stripe when the quarter is addressed. The basics are a Jegs crate 408, TCI 727 with 3500 stall, and an 8 3/4 with a 4.10. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/206C0108-920E-46A4-B208-7FF763C9C924-217-0000004CC8802974_zps71e99c83.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/13C39413-B48D-44E8-AD69-F55BE31F21D3-217-0000004CD3E507B9_zpsb5854aec.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/A337998D-B55C-4A47-AF1A-8141F6918D70-217-0000004D09F674D3_zpsbf2c53ff.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/B0762845-1C47-4052-9264-079A3DD39118-217-0000004CF2D446C1_zpsa7e76065.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/1439D74C-06D2-4356-8294-7965A88BA57D-217-0000004CEC99FD70_zpsc81af98e.jpg Haven't touched the engine bay yet, that's pretty much how filthy the entire car was. Definitely plan on changing the valve covers and air cleaner as well as cleaning up some wiring, but that'll be lower on the priority list. First thing is to get some taller tires or change the gear, 3500 at 60 mph is rough. Lol

Bailey went 6.70 at 213 a little bit ago, on to the next track! I hate that Larson is out this year, but I believe we'll be hearing his thoughts on everything next week or so. I hope Dave Ahokas doesn't win it. It's a sick car, but it's a Pro Mod with just enough to be street legal. Larson did it for years in a full steel car that was built for the street and worked on the track, now guys are building track cars that work on the street. It's not what Drag Week was created for.

To Project or Not to Project..THAT is my question
-Alex- replied to 99StockGT's topic in Passing Lane
Don't you have other "go fast" cars? I love old cars, it's what I was raised on and I actually just bought one over the weekend, but for the most part they're best left as fun cruisers. If you really need to make a change or two to feel like it was worth the effort, I'd throw a cam, intake and 4 barrel on it. That's easy enough to change back if you ever feel the need, and will give it some more pep and the classic cam sound. Keep it basic so you'll be able to enjoy it again in the spring. If you're like me and pull it all apart, it'll snowball and the car will be down for 2 years, and in the end you'll wish you left it alone. Lol -
I think the wishing well idea is best so far. No names attached, just drop what you can afford into the bucket. If anybody felt like they wanted their amount to be recognized or whatever they can put it in a card. It also doesn't single out people who can't really afford to spend much on a gift or whatever. I don't see it as being rude, but it definitely is a fragile situation with the wording and how to go about receiving it. I was married nearly 4 years ago and went the traditional route and it seemed like we got 2-3 of many things, which in turn ended up being somewhat of a pain to return some. I think we ended up regifting most of them.

Corvette/Musclecar guys - where to take '60s Vette?
-Alex- replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Tech and Tips
I would think Bob McDorman may be a good place, considering his collection. A '62 model would be very basic. -
Tire height will affect the speedometer, which will affect the odometer in some cases. I'm not sure the setup on the '07 Rams. Previous owner could've changed the gear ratio in the truck and not corrected the speedometer.

I've got a lead on a couple local pairs right now, but keep the offers coming. I would prefer to be somewhat close to the field since it's a birthday gift, but if they're cheap I suppose I could buy her a Pepsi or something. Lol
-
Oof. Spent the last 10 days in the Carolinas, guess my brain was still on vacation. How about tickets for 9/21, anyone?
-
Wife's birthday is the 17th, figured I'd take her to the game. Figured I'd check on here for a few days before going to Ticketmaster or whatever.

Beat or not, if that sold for $12k that was an awesome deal for an LSx S2k. I've been having a hard time finding a stock AP1 in decent shape for that.

Fully erect does not even begin to describe my feelings about this car. The mirrors didn't bother me much until I saw the second pic of the black car. The aero mirrors definitely look nicer.

All single cabs are manual, quad cabs are auto.

Yes, if you read the section for the notary, it will say something along the lines of "all of the above lines/information is correct" and that includes both buyer and seller lines. Legally, the notary should be witnessing both signatures. My mom is a notary, so I usually just have her notarize my signature and let the buyer fill out their sections.

Probably my favorite episode so far because those are my two favorite project cars. Little disappointed in the actual content though, didn't seem to be enough hang ups for a Roadkill episode. Lol

Trying it now. BBQ Bacon Burger, Smashfries and a Coke = $10.54

Holy hell I bet that's a burnout machine. I never knew they offered the 8.1 in an Avalanche, and definitely didn't know Whipple offered a blower for the 8.1 lol

How so? Anyone interested in a f-body should already know there are some differences, and as I said it's a preference thing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a '98 car, but there are advantages to a '99+. This car is priced extremely well and appears to be pretty clean. To somebody who doesn't mind a '98 model, this is an awesome deal in my opinion. As Anthony said, tuning can sometimes be a limitation on them, but that's clearly not an issue with this car. Even if it were, it's not hard to switch to a 99+ PCM as well. I was only stating that most of the appeal of the car is the complete package, and stating the main reason that I personally had not already bought it.

The Formula model is the V8 without the Trans Am body kit pretty much JP. The '98s are first year cars and have a few differences with the PCM, rod bolts and some other things. They're not bad cars, but a '99-'02 is preferred.
