  1. I was thinking more in terms of performance and not so much looks. With an LS under the hood, I can’t imagine those 14x6 or whatever wheels will allow enough tire to do anything other than burnouts. I think some C4 ZR1s or something similar would fit the era and open up a ton of tire options.
  2. I think the ‘65 F100 in your original post is a great starting point. I don’t think you could duplicate that truck for the money, and it has a real solid drivetrain to sell if you decide to swap it. With the CV frame, you could easily do a modular motor and a budget turbo setup. Put on some deep dish wheels front and rear with a good tire and you’d have a hell of a truck within your $15k budget I think.
  3. I’m with ya. I’ve recently been thinking about selling both of my trucks and using the cash for a down payment on a new crew cab, but holy shit prices are asinine for anything more than a bare bones 6 cylinder truck. That’s when I start thinking about vehicles that are around the 5 year old mark now that I figure have taken a resale hit and might be a bargain by now...nope. Lol
