Got my wife a Suzuki Intruder 800 last spring and she has been doing great. Now she likes my FZ1 better and told me to get another bike. She likes the upright position better then the cruiser position.

Lot of extra work. Modern performance tires just a little dish soap and spoons to remove after bead is broke. Soap and no tools to install.

We are heading out Monday morning but might be stopping for a visit with relatives in Reynoldsburg. Still don't know if I'm going into NC with my second trailer, they don't allow rec doubles. Might leave wife with bikes at the border and get her after the 5th wheel is set up at the campground.

That's alot of money for such an ugly bike. I would love an american sport-touring bike but this isn't going to be it.

My wife and I actually have talked about openning or purchasing a campground in that area. One thing we thought would be nice is a licensed daycare along with the campground for that exact purpose. Well you are helping with that question - Is there a market. We have taken our kids to Tellico Plains, TN and Fontana Dam, NC but they are old enough to watch themselves. I would call Fontana Village Resort and ask them, it wouldn't surprise me if they have a daycare at the resort.

In 2008 I was looking for a new bike. The lightning was on my list and a HD dealer near e was a Buell dealer. They were such azzholes that I stopped looking into Buells and will probably never consider a Harley either.

Run it at 50mm of slack and you'll be fine.

I'm not a teacher but I appreciate those that can.... thanks. My wife took a MSF course last year. I tried to teach her before she went and it was a nightmare. Since her course it is actually fun to help her improve.

A loose gas cap can cause that. Even after tightening one it takes several cycles to reset. Just a thought.

My wife and I now have reservations for a campsite from June 6-10 but we'll be in the area starting on June 2nd. We'll have the coffee going every morning.

My kids have normal names- Jason, Chad, Brent, Samantha and Madison. All 4 that are grown and on their own have jobs, making me think an easy name makes life easier. I have a 2 cousins that are lawyers and their kids are Sicily, Linus and one I can't pronounce or remember.

There's an ATM machine at the general store in Fontana Village. Saves trying to figure out the exchange rate.

I camped there last year and its nice. Right on the Little Tennessee river at the base of Fontana Dam, tallest dam in eastern us. Don't forget if you camp you also have access to pools, deck concerts and ghost tours ooohhhh!
