    about me

Welcome. My husband had a 1989 and a 1990 FZR 600 that he really loved. I rode on the back of it for many years. Mary
  2. The pw50 is a great idea but it's nice to have something for them to tool around on in the development. These electric models also usually have 2 speeds and the low speed is a really nice feature for them to get used to in general. We will be hunting for a pw50 soon. Then I get a dirtbike again and I guess I'll let my husband get one too. We have this for the kids too. My parents couldn't afford one of these when I was a kid and I wanted one sooooooo bad. So, yes, I am living through my kids. Good times!
  3. Not quite an R1 but way cool and blue.
  4. Running is overrated when you look so darn good standing still.
  5. Picture of my daughter when she was around 3. She wasn't totally into to it. Hoping my son will like it more.
  6. Love it! Hope to get our first overnighter in May! Looking forward to it.
  7. Charlotte, NC. 2 hours from the mountains. 2 hours from the beach. Very nice city. Affordable. Job market is decent. Still have seasons. Someday we will move there. Mary
  8. This place sells some nice maps and has nice photos etc... for that area. http://www.americaridesmaps.com/ Have a safe trip! Mary
  9. Good post! Can't wait to see the results. My husband and I went on most of those roads you mentioned last year and they had started paving some sections and those areas were awesome and then you'd hit the old stuff and it was just depressing. It will be great to see it all done. I love new pavement. 374 in Hocking Hills had just gotten finished late last summer and we did 4 loops since it was SOOOO nice. We figured the tourists would call us in if we attempted a 5th loop. I don't think we were the scenic type of "Ducs" they were out there to see. Mary
  10. Hi! I pm'd you. Let me know if you don't get it. Thanks! Mary
  11. USED XT Racing Ultra Lap Timer and Transmitter. $80 shipped Cont. USA. $75 for local pick up. Full Disclosure - This timer works perfectly fine but there are some pixels that have died for whatever reason. The numbers are still easily read and it functions fine but I want all to be aware. PM me if interested and I'll send you pictures. Thanks. Thanks.

  14. OK. A guy I used to race with went by Natedawg and was from Michigan as well.
  15. Nathan, Did you race WERA with Randy Sherman and are married to Beth? Mary
  16. Size 38 USA / 54 EURO In very good shape. Fits like a 36 waist. Zips into most jackets (either full or rear only zipper). Never down. Asking $125
  17. Ladies Alpinestars Gloves- Both size small. One is the SP3 shorter glove with foam padding on the top for protection. The other is a longer gauntlet style (SPC?) with carbon on the knuckles. Both were used very little as they were a little tight on me and I could never break them in and just need to go up a size. $25 for the SP3 and $40 for the SPC. I'm pretty sure those were $90 new. Mens size small Teknic gloves. These are broken in for sure but are a nice pair of spare gloves with good protection. $20 Thanks!
  18. Alpinestars Supertech Boots. Top of the line race boots with the inner bootie. They are used and in good condition. They do have some scuffs so cosmetically they are not perfect but functionally they are great. Euro size 37. I wear a ladies size 7. I think this translates to a men's size 5 or 6? These are not ladies boots but they do fit me well. $175/offer

  20. Cool bike. I started on a KZ305. I'm 5 ft 2 so I can totally relate to needing a comfortable riding height when first starting out. One less thing to worry about. Later on, the height thing doesn't bug you as much (for the most part). Congrats! Mary
  21. I work in Middleburg Hts. The valley has nice turns but way too many cops and too much traffic. As you go further southeast, it gets a little better but not by much. If you can ever make it to Putnam Park in Indiana, you won't be sorry. Great track. Beaver is super tight (and short). Mid-Ohio is nice. The back straight is long. VIR is also a blast but probably a good 9 hour drive. Mary
  22. Hello! Yup, you do need to ride a bit to get to any nice roads if you live up north. There are some down south around Millersburg/Coschocton area and also in around the Bath/Fairlawn area. If my husband and I only have few hours, we go to Bath. If we have 5 hours we'll usually go down to Coschocton. Welcome! Mary
  23. Welcome! Nice to have another female rider on the site. Mary
  24. I sold this bike in 2010. 2001 F4i with a custom exhaust and other goodies for $3900. Clean title and about 15k miles. I wouldn't pay that money for a bike with a salvage title. I'd keep looking around. Mary
