I was planning on getting out a little earlier (7ish) and heading to 800/26 and maybe coming back up 83. I'm new to riding, so pace won't be fast, but I just want to get out onto some roads with turns.

I'm not sure I feel like going that far south but possibly.

Alright, so last week was a fail on my behalf due to scheduling, but this saturday I'm open all day. I'd like to start the ride this weekend around 9-10am and just head south. No route determined yet as I'm not sure where those of you who were with NinjaDoc went and how the roads were, but any route works. Looking at doing a fairly tame pace since they're likely newer (to me) roads and thinking of maybe doing 250 miles or so?

Anyone interested in this, maybe some of you guys from last week?

Yeah. Unfortunately my ride was cut short anyways since mid ride I noticed my textile jacket stitching came undone on the forearm and exposed a nice 3" gap so I headed back not risking crashing in it. I still rode 150 miles but it's not nearly what I hoped.

Looks like I'm not gonna make it. I wouldn't arrive til about 2 so I'll head down and hit some of the roads and maybe I'll pass by you guys.

Gonna be late so doc call or text me when you stop and maybe I can meet at another spot..

Always look at their wheels to see if they are stopped or start rolling. Was taught to check for eye contact in driving school..but thats not the case, they look right at you anyhow. Car wheels dont lie. 

When I first started riding I'd look for their eyes but as you said half the time they look right through you, so I see if their wheels start moving as I'm approaching. I've also seen people driving like a dick with those same stickers on their car, doesn't really mean much honestly.

Showing that it takes me 50 mins to get there so I'll make sure I'm gassed up before hand and I'll post up here when I'm heading down. Looking forward to trying some new roads.

zherman, if you'll have the bike together by tomorrow I'm planning on riding that day as well.

whats the earliest time possible for you to meet up,? it seems like a good day and we need to use max sunlight possible

Depends how long I'm at the event. I'd like to be by Salem at 1-1:30. I'll PM you my number so you can contact me whenever you have a solid time and I can contact you when I'm heading back to gear up.

I wouldn't be able to make it there until about 1 at very earliest. I live north of Akron.

Problem for me is that I'm going to look at some rescue dogs at 11 and I'm not sure how long we'll be gone but I'd figure I'll be back to my place by 12 and I'd head out as soon as I got back. Where's a good meet spot for everyone? Maybe I can meet you guy coming from the East on 14 somewhere?

I'm going to plan on riding both days. Later start Saturday and early start Sunday. Whoever is interested just specify what day(s) so we have a head count and can come up with a meeting spot.
