  1. I dont see how it does not. Granted its not going to increase it a TON, but it still should depending on what has been installed and if it was installed in a professional manner and isnt just thrown together.

Because you're aiming at a smaller percentage of people that want a bike with mods and it's the same with cars. You may find someone who thinks there's added value to a vehicle because there is stuff done to it but more people will look at is as a normal vehicle and don't want to pay for modifications you did. I bought my bike with extras on it but didn't pay more than it was worth because of them and I even told the guy I'm not paying the marked up price because you added such and such modifications. You can try and justify the extra cost because of extra parts but less people are going to be interested, so it's your call on how long you want to potentially sit on it. Or maybe you'll get lucky and find someone willing to pay the little bit extra.

  2.

You have to remember a lot of these athletes are not much more than a thug who got a lucky break, so it's really not that shocking. These people blame it on race and wonder why racism is still such an issue today, it's because people love being able to fall back on that for anything just like this trial and many others have shown. It's unfortunate that kids out there look up to these athletes as role models and they make it out to be a race issue as well.

  3. Has anyone been on 77 south of Canton lately? Just heard in the office that its all a mess. Now this is coming from a dude I can only describe as "special" or "different". Great worker but sometimes he doesn't seem all there.

Anyhow he said something about it being a clusterfuck of kind of torn up, construction zone and different level lanes. Said it took him forever to travel the section between 30 and Dover (just south of Bolivar). Said North isn't much better so can anyone confirm this?

I was just on it Saturday without issue. It did look freshly paved in some areas, and somewhere past Dover/Bolivar it goes up to 70mph which no one seems to notice as well. I'd only be concerned with rt.8 under 76, I know they're doing construction there but I haven't gone through it so I'm not sure how bad it is.

  4. Go to Top Sail for a more relaxed and desolate vacation, OBX if you want to do some tourist stuff and do some shopping. Top Sail is cheaper, especially for beach front places if you're outside of town. But expect to cook more often or drive further for food on Top Sail. I've been going down there for 20 some years and both are nice, it just depends what you're wanting to do.

  5. Hmm next week I think I'm going to give that route you posted a try, IP. And on saturday morning me and my buddy are heading out and meeting at the BP in Stow on 59/91 at 7:30. If anyone in that area wants to slab it with us down to 800 feel free, otherwise maybe we'll see you guys down there.

  6. Probably not for me then.

    What part?

I like the sound of relatively tame, this gets more intriguing to me by the post

That's just the pace I'll stick with, I can't speak for anyone else ha. Hell fast guys can just take 800 to the end and wait at the river for everyone else, can't really get lost that way.

This is all Kents planning though, I was just throwing it out there I'll be down on 800 and I'm up to meeting with whoever.

  7. Our pace is relatively tame, nothing crazy. Mileage is up in the air since we'll ride til we get tired basically, but we did roughly 350 last week and this week I'll probably aim for being home by 5-530. We can do two separate starts and meet down there at the restaurant at the end of 800, too.

  8. Has anyone been on 800 or any of the roads down there in the last week or so?

Looking for a road condition/construction/etc report.

Jinu and I rode 800 last week the whole way and it was in good condition, just one area where they were doing construction on the side of the road. A few other roads (forget what we rode) had a couple gravel spots but nothing too bad. You guys want to meet up at the end of 800? Not sure when you guys are heading out.

  9. A buddy and I will be down on 800 and other roads in that area Saturday, so if you guys go down that way maybe we can meet up at some point. But we're heading down at 7:30 and going to the river so that may not be ideal for everyone. Just let me know and we can figure out somewhere to meet when we're down there.

  10. I want race bike handling with long distance comfort....I guess thats where I'm going with all of this

What is your definition of long distance? There are plenty of people on here who do 350+ miles day on supersports and are fine. Jbot and myself just did 300+ miles and I was perfectly fine until about a half hour from home when my throttle hand got tired (my fault for not having a crampbuster for slabs). Are there better choices for that? Sure, but it's not too bad as long as you're riding twisty back roads. Long boring highway rides are another story.

I'd say stick with the SV, especially if it means not having to take out a loan for a toy. Financing a seven year old bike for five years seems silly, especially if you get tired of it and want a different bike.
