Remove all layers of subfloor and shave down floor joists. Its a slow process and one you want to take your time with but it may be your only option if you definately want to lower the transition height.

 

Probably not worth it then. Maybe just install new nicer vinyl or laminate (probably not ideal for a bathroom)

if its natural stone it needs to have a total thickness of 1.25" for a subfloor

 

So if you have 3/4" subfloor, 1/2 or 5/8" durock, you are fine. Still doesn't get me past the fact that ill have a sizeable transition. Maybe not though, ill have to look.

1. Tile question. If you are laying tile on a subfloor (3/4" plywood) is it necessary to use durock to prevent cracking? I currently have ugly vinyl in this area. If I add durock, and THEN tile, I think its gonna bump my total thickness up so high that the transition from the tiled area is gonna be a huge step down. Solutions?

Any updates? Just passed my GCIH, so I've had a decent dosing of this. Id like to learn more in depth though. I feel like that curriculum went a mile wide and an inch deep.

Do you even know your max? If you are using the 220 minus your age formula, its probably wrong.

 

Go out, warm up for 5-10 mins, then go as hard as you can for a minute or 2. Note the heart rate. Cool down for a few mins, then go hard as fuk again. Note the heart rate. This should be your max.

I would also recommend getting it checked out by Best Motor Werks. Great guys, and much cheaper than Kelly BMW.

 

I typically recommend staying away from bmw luxobarge type cars. The inline 6s are so much more reliable, proven, and cheaper to maintain. The auto trannies can be particularly problematic as well.
