  1. Embers in Kenwood and Eddie Merlots in Montgomery are both good but not as consistent. Of course any of the Jeff Ruby restaurants have fabulous steaks. All of these mentioned are 10 mins or less from my house. Now I'm hungry.
  2. Tony's in Mason. i don't like fatty steaks and they trim theirs great and cook it perfectly with a nice crust and seasoning. All of their food is great. Not cheap though, expect to spend $100-$150 for two depending on choices and drinks.
  3. Well that was quick...ya big tease
  4. There's a steak place up the street from me that makes the best NY strip, period. I've eaten in a lot of high-end steak places all over the country too and theirs is consistently the best.
  5. we have a few of those at work. good for reviewing docs but not so much when needing to type or use the mouse a lot. Max speed is 2 mph think.
  6. Awww man, when I first looked at that it looked like the camera units were wireless which would be awesome. It actually looks really nice for the bike though...set it and forget it.
  7. Potentially if you offer it up or make it known it exists. It's an "expert" witness after all.
  8. Thanks for the info...I'm not even going to attempt to tear into my leased Mercedes but I have been trying to come up with some creative and non-permanent solutions. The cables are generally pretty log so I could at least do some routing to minimize the cable presence.
  9. I run my GoPro on the bike alot when I commute for use as evidence if something should happen and I know a number of you (@Scruit) do as well. As such, I've thought about doing a dash cam as well in the car. I have about a 1.5hr commute sothere's plenty of opportunity for something to happen. I've been looking at some models and many seem very comparable but the Z-Edge Z3 seems to be a popular choice. Wondering what others are running and what they think? The downside for me is I hate cables coming off the windshield and winding through the cabin. The console where it would plug into the 12v would have to stay open which offends my chi but can't be helped. I'm not interested in one that tracks GPS info...odds are good I'll be fracturing the speed limit if something does happen. No need to incriminate myself further
  10. My desk at home has a motor that raises and lowers it and when I work from home (at least 1 day a week) I stand most of the day. I like it and if you're busy, you barely notice you are standing though make sure you have either well padded carpeting or a anti-fatigue mat to stand on. It does wear on you by the end of the day. A pretty good chunk of people at my office have standing desks due to back issues, etc and they said you get use to standing every day pretty quickly. I have bad knees and standing all day, every day is not going to work for me. I recommend getting a desk/chair you can easily raise/lower on demand.
  11. Yep, bring layers you can peel off midday when it gets warmer. I bring 2 sets of gloves too, one vented and one thermal/rain proof even though I have heated grips. I wish I had room for both rain and vented boots but that's just too much to carry on top of everything else. Those running GoPro's should bring and use the vented case...the temp changes even midday due to elevation changes are enough to fog that bad boy up. I lost some good footage last year to a foggy case. On a side note, I saw Garmin announced a new action camera yesterday that looks a bit like the GoPro. Lots of nice features like voice activation but no word on pricing yet. If you've thought about picking up a GoPro you might wait and check it out.
  12. I was done after 15 minutes...boring. Like a lot of sports, I love playing them but to watch most is boring - golf, tennis and racing of any sort is top of the list for me. The drama between the riders, etc is not my cup of tea either since I know nothing about them. They might as well have been talking about random people on the street. I thought it was more about the mechanics of riding and the evolution of bikes/racing.
  13. As long as he gets his vapes in
  14. That's probbaly the anniiversary edition update
  15. Yeah, on the way down last year it was pouring as I hit the gap...leaves everywhere and I was fully loaded with luggage etc. By far my worst ride on there... I had some slippage here and there - enough so that my ass was puckered the whole time. The bonus was that I saw very few other vehicles and I was going slow enough to pose "D
  16. I'm all booked for hotels...time scheduled off work, etc. Now we wait. I'm heading on a car trip down there this weekend like my wife and friends do every year and the weather is supposed to be spectacular. I expect the same in October.
  17. See...even the women agree with me...spa days usually are a good answer.
  18. Wait, I kinda met his wife up at their trailer when I was getting ready to roll out...she said hi. What a flirt that girl! or am I getting people confused either way, I'll have to take your word for it. you people need to set parameters on your queries
  19. Spa day usually works for most...most places do couples massages etc. Some even have anniversary type packages where you get massages and a private hot tub, etc. My wife and I did that once but it was in one of the Vegas hotels. I've never looked at something like that locally.
  20. Out of this whole thread, this is the most interesting post. More please.
  21. Don't make me hurt you

  23. Jack T Colton :Dammit man, the Doobie Brothers broke up! Shit! When did that happen? Name that movie (without Google)
  24. Probably a lot I don't pay that much attention to the news anymore...it's all who shot who, who died from heroin, what politician is fucking us over now...blah blah Although, I did hear the other day where a guy jumped a pharmacy counter, held a knife to the pharmacist's throat and was subsequently shot to death by the po-po. Arrived to work and heard it was the son of a guy that works at my company. He's a jackhole so no surprise there.
