I have...that is one F-I-N-E sammich maker

All I keep hearing about the Olympics is Zika and the poor conditions there in between the ongoing saga of Trumpillary. I'll watch some if I have time but I have no compelling reason to tune in for anything specific although I know there are several athletes from the local area that are competing in swimming/diving. I guess that would be interesting.

Honestly, I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about it...I've had a lot going on - surgery, the wife has been out of town during my recovery, work has been a bear, I have my first grandkid due any day, blah blah. My wife leaves town again for 2 weeks this Sunday to (hopefully) be in HI for the birth of said grandkid and I'm back to walking normally and without a boot so I should have the opportunity to throw something together that will work for most if they choose to follow. The short version - I've been slacking. I don't know all the good spots as well as some since I've only ridden down there a handful of times while following others so you are welcome to contribute (i.e. specific roads we should hit, places to stay) Not to sound all kiss ass but I actually really liked the pace you set on the last fall ride we did. Spirited, yet sane enough to enjoy the scenery and not end up in a ditch. I wish I had gotten more pics of all of us though.

For some reason that really made me laugh. I had plateaued for about 3 weeks even though I hadn't changed what I was doing. I cut out drinking artificially sweetened drinks except for maybe one a day with a meal earlier in the day (usually lunch). I found that if I drank one without a meal, it aroused my appetite. This is something the "experts" have been saying for a while but I didn't really believe. Now I totally believe it because I noticed a big difference in my appetite. I cut out snacks because I really wasn't hungry between meals anymore as a result. I usually drink unsweetened tea now. You go Tim! I had surgery 2 weeks ago on my leg. I spent a lot of time with my leg elevated/iced and I was worried that I might gain some back because I was so inactive. I really made sure I ate super clean and stuck to my calorie ceiling and I ended losing a few pounds. In fact, I had been pretty consistent about my weight training 3 days a weeks for several months and I think the 1.5 weeks off really gave my body a chance to reset. I think I'm going to take at least 1 week off from lifting and cardio (outside of long walks) once a quarter from now on.

Down 70lbs as of today...

It sounds like there's a story behind that?

At least Tonik made a rational, well thought out decision...ostensibly. Could be the sammich maker nixed it and he's covering but that's none of my business. /Kermit

Brand new and getting ready to start BRC classes!
ScubaCinci replied to Roadskill's topic in Introductions
For the classes the basics are fine if they are still taught the same as they were when I took the MSF classes. You barely go over 10 mph except maybe for the emergency braking drills. Gloves, boots, helmet at minimum. Sturdy jeans and jacket is a plus. Just don't show up in shorts and flip flops Welcome to OR! -
Yeah, it's whacked out but has some good humor. If you can't tell, it originated as a parody of BTTF - Doc and Marty.

It would be Rick from Rick and Morty...he's animated dome of hate (in attitude, not appearance). I swear half the shit he says would come out of @Tonik's mouth Those that have watched it will know what I'm talking about. A friend of mine told me about the show a few weeks ago and since I've been laid up for a bit, I've had time to watch some stuff that has been in my queue. The first 2 seasons are currently on Hulu. It's definitely an adult cartoon...more so than Family Guy.

They shouldn't NARCAM these stupid assholes who OD....they just go right back out and do it again. In related news, I heard on the radio the other day that now they're mixing heroin with an elephant tranquilizer. It so powerful that when dr's are working with it, they basically wear hazmat suits. One drop in your eye is more than enough to kill you. Makes Ketamine look like aspirin.

Locks keep honest people honest. I don't have an illusions as to their effectiveness (or lack thereof) but it just got a whole lot of easier for people to get their hands on them.

Anyone can print out their own keys now... https://www.engadget.com/2016/07/28/tsa-master-key-3d-models/

Laptop drive space is full but i can't figure out why

Use this app and thank me later: https://windirstat.info/ It will show you what is taking up the most space both graphically and by listing. You can then investigate the things sucking up space and see if you want to delete/uninstall them. Priceless app and it's free. Also, if you have hibernation enabled in Windows, it will set aside disk space for the roughly equivalent capacity of your RAM. In the above app, it shows up as hiberfil.sys. You cannot delete it but you can disable hibernation and it should free up on reboot IIRC. Google it... -
It's cool...supporting member and all. Why can't we just have another "guess what bike I'm getting" thread?
-
Not sure there's a real difference between the two
