My all-black leathers with minimal ventilation? ok.

Will pick up some new under layers today at IP while picking up some oil for the Triumph I guess. Can't be smelling like a barnyard all week wearing the same schwetty underarmour compression gear.

    Febreze???  :dunno:

  2. I love watching the coverage on TV, I can only imagine being there in person...  I love the sound of that Norton.  And the sidecar racing.  I know last year they had a IOMTT Snapchat that I was slightly obsessed with but I couldn't find it this year...

I hope to make it there one day to witness it in person.  It's definitely a bucket list trip for me.

Breezewood has some large truck stops and gas stations that big rigs and people with large trailers and toy haulers like to stop at. That's a stop we've made often when on longer trips in Dan's toy hauler.

Glad you had a good time.

Breezewood is one of the largest trucking interchanges, if not the largest,  in the US.  All the truck traffic combined with high winds and twisty highways was a scary combination, especially when you're trying to do 75-80mph... it was nuts.

  4. So I went back to this Narrowsburg, NY again this year - 4 states and 1,093 miles by the time I got home.  It was a great time - there were 6 of us that made the trip from Ohio.  I hadn't met the ladies I rode with until we all met up in PA.  We got rained on, spent a few hours in a quarter car wash hiding from the rain, explored a haunted castle, drank free beer and stunk up a hotel room the first night will all our wet gear.

I learned that riding west out of Breezewood, PA is probably the windiest area, clogged with truck traffic and twisty highways that I've ever seen - it was so stressful, but I survived.  And I rode thru a tunnel for the first time too.

I posted a bunch of pictures on Instagram if you want to check them out.  I know you're all super jelly that you don't have a vagina so you can't attend this annual camping event.  :thefinger:  LOL

Sorry this happened to you. Family and friends are usually the first to fuck you over, mainly because they think they can get away with it.

And that's mostly why I don't have any friends anymore.

So here is the deal, we have two of the grandkids over Saturday night.  Deb is going with me Sunday and we need to drop off the grandkids in Granger. So, we are leaving my house at 7:30 AM, me on the bike and Deb and the kids in her car. Head to Granger and drop the kids then across 18 to Fairlawn.

So meet spots are my house kickstands up at 7:30 AM (which means you will go to Granger first too).  PM me for the address, it's just a mile south of Dunkin. I will get the donuts ahead of time.

Second meet spot is  at I 77 (NOT 71) and 18.  North east corner there is a Shell.  Kickstands up there at 8:30.  It's 158 miles to the Epic Ride, so one stop on the way for gas.

    Brake issue resolved.  ??

I can meet at either spot, but I'm thinking meeting at the Shell station would be easier so I'll see you there.

  7. Idk what I'm doing yet - I've got less than 2 weeks until my trip to NY and I need to resolve the rear brake issue stat.  Fingers crossed that it gets figured out and that the parade is back on AND that I can make it so I can get some riding in before my trip...

    good times... lol

Dragging is most  probably not a bleeding issue. Sounds like your linkage on your new rearset isn't set correctly.

Maybe but it's not constantly dragging, just sometimes.  Researching it online turned up that there might be more air in the system that needs to come out.

I'm gonna see if my resident mechanic has time to look at it, if not I'll be asking for help from you or someone here...

    Rear brake?

Yeah - we bled it after reinstalling the top off/overflow/fluid measuring container because it was relocated and needed a longer tub to feed the master cylinder, but it's dragging now and there's no way I can ride it anywhere atm...  yippee...  lol

Bike has new coolant, oil, oil filter, and brake fluid. Triumph engineers are sadomasochists. Why the hell do I have to remove the tank to flush the coolant reservoir!? Why is the coolant reservoir attached to the frame by a 10mm nut and an 8mm bolt? Never mind the fact that the coolant drain pours all over the exhaust...

Isn't it because they (the sadomasochists) don't expect you to have multiples of the same tool?  That's what a little bird told me the other day...  :dunno:

rear sets should absolutely have lock tite on them fyi. Dont know if you did that or not.

Yep I knew that...  They're adjustable ones so any non-adjustable components should have it.  ?
