Welcome to the group.
We're going on a big ride. There were in the
neighborhood of 70 bikes from all over the
state and some from Michigan and Indiana
on the ride last May.
Here's the info: http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/103963-unofficial-spring-2014-epic-ride-may-17th/
If you want to ride down with the NE Ohio
guys, here's where you can find their info: http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/104431-epic-ride-may-17th-ne-ohio-meetup-and-ride-down/
Get in the slow group, at least for this
year, for your own safety.
See you there.

You will continue to be as much a part of the OhioRiders community
as you have always been. Being bikeless is simply a passing phase.
You'll hunger for the pleasure of riding on two wheels and become
consumed by it until once again you'll find a ride you can't say no to.

Thanks to JackFlash for manning the grill.
...thanks to jackflash for cookin'.
It's now officially confirmed that a bunch of hungry riders
will eat absolutely anything that doesn't bite back.
Pardon the well toasted (crusty) hotdogs. I think we went
through four or five packs of dogs and buns, minus the two
or three buns left in the bag that little beagle grabbed and
ran off with.
I cook much better than the micro-grill would permit.
I would be pleased to do this again, and with some assistance
and support, could easily kick it up a notch to the enjoyment
of all.

I have the HAYNES SERVICE AND REPAIR MANUAL for this bike.
I'm willing to type verbatim straight from the manual to help you out.
It's written in the UK. Pardon the spellings.
The fuel system consists of the fuel tank, the main fuel cock and filter,
the fuel tap, the carburettors, fuel hoses and control cables.
The main fuel cock mounted on the underside of the fuel tank incorporates
a filter which sits inside the tank. The remote fuel tap is of the vacuum type.
Let me know if you need info. I'll be in and out all day and available tomorrow.
PM me for Phone number if you want details researched.

Punch "Garden shed" or "Motorcycle shelter" into YouTube.
You'll get all sorts of ideas.

I can't begin to think of a motorcycle shelter without my mind just taking off.
I have to ask...
What do you want that shelter to do for you and your bike?
1) Do you just want to keep off the elements like dirt and water, like a cover...
2) ...or keep people from wheeling away your precious....
3) ...or have enough room to do a little maintenance on it...
4) ...and have electric for a light bulb...
5) ...or more electric to plug in a little heater for when you want to sit on it in the middle of winter and make zroom zroom sounds...
6) ...or have enough space for your 2nd motorcycle that you will find yourself lusting over. (Oh yes you do! We all lust for a 2nd bike.)...
7) ...or have even more electricity for other things, like a mini fridge or a power tool or a TV...
8) ...or have enough room for lawn and garden items to be stored as well...
9) ...or have enough room for a tool box and work bench for more in depth bike maintenance...
10) ...or to be able to tow this shelter behind a vehicle, like a trailer, for going to the track or on rides beginning miles from home...
11) ...or ???
All of a sudden I feel like I need an RV with a built in garage. My mind just runs with ideas building on ideas.

Great meeting everyone. A great time!

Sorry to have missed you, Phil.
We left the Pony at 5p and went

I'll sleep like a baby the night it sells if there is $6500
in cash in my pocket and the next ride is lined up
Well, that's a little different than being bikeless.
I'll bet you are foaming at the mouth to check
out the new VFR 800.
.

So this is back off the market...for now at least
You won't be able to sleep for a week
once it's sold.

Why not let it go?
Good question. They killed it dead. Murdered!
>> Because the Dewitt County Game Warden determined the animalto be a raccoon, on Thursday the couple was given 48 hours to either release the animal or euthanize it, or they would face fines. NBC News reported that on Friday, Mike Cox, spokesman for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said, "The land owner left a message on the warden's voice mail this morning that the animal had been euthanized."

I'll show up in the car again!
Unless the 555 takes another bite out of me,
I'll be on the little GS.

Has enough power to pass a souped up sportster with twice the displacement.
My eyes must be going funny, because when I read that the
first time, I was sure it said, enough power to pass a souped
up scooter.

What time you thinkin?
I can leave work as soon as I finish my four
machines. I'm hoping to leave from the Port
Columbus area around 10'ish (fingers crossed).
Either way, I'm still going down there. I should
be there not later than noon at the worst.

Okay i just called them and it is not a official Yamaha Demo Days the guy said they might have a Ranger and a couple other atvs out(sounds like just to do a loop in the parking lot) and he said if someone was really interested they might have a street bike or two out but he was unsure. So sounds like just a open house with some food and door prizes but (i repeat) NO OFFICIAL DEMO RIDES, I'm kinda disappointed.
I was just about to post that their website didn't
say a thing about demo rides, and was about to
call them to find out. I already arranged
to get off work early. Perhaps I'll drop in for a bite
to eat. Hope to see some of you there.

Jackflash.....calling Jackflash!!!!!

I might leave work early.

Some people are fueled by emotions, and not decisions. It's the difference in power between the Id and the Ego. They will react, rather then analysis. There has been and always will be a large group of people that do this, for whatever reasons that caused it to be. The fast pace of internet communications (from our instant tweeting phones) has simply made it all the more visible to the general population.
Thinking and decision making take time, and will never catch up with the quick reactions of emotions.
And then there are the ones who always have a chip on
their shoulders, always looking for a reason to be pissed
off about something that really amounts to nothing. They
are known as professional victims, constantly seeking
sympathy as a way of gaining attention so they can feel
their lives have been validated.

I feel a need to correct this bad information.
My bike has 47 hp (34.3 kW) at 9200 rpm and
29.5 ft·lbf (40.0 N·m) at 7400 rpm of torque.
.These figures are more likely correct.
33.99 HP @ 8500 rpm (cranksh)
25.08 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm (cranksh)

That is if they see the bike. Until it gets warmer,
they are not expecting to see a bike and therefore
are not looking for it. So, be extra careful because
if they happen to see you, it's not because they
were trying to.
