  1. And ya know I'm usually the first to point out to new riders around here about safe riding and that speed isn't needed if your smooth. I admit I fucked up. I was getting into the speed and I shouldve slowed down and didn't. My wife wants me to give up on bikes all together, but I can't I love riding. Ill make my insurance claim and go from there. Ill probably get a used bike from one of those up for sale on here. Just depends on where things go Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  2. I admitted to the sheriff that I mightve been going faster then I had thought. He did say he was unable to determine my speed due to the nature of the accident and that the grass was so thick
  3. If anyone is interested my bike was towed to one of the two garages in Degraff. I think its at the one on 235 on the west side of town Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I might be contacting you. Have to see what my insurance company says Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  5. A dedicated back protector might have prevented it. My jacket has a CE armor plate in the back and it did help. In the video I hit the first culvert went airborne flipped upside down and landed flat on my back. As far as any actual video I will be going over there to get a general Idea and ill do a video of it then. I won't be posting it because my wife is concerned if I do that the leo could see it see my before speeds and get me for wreckless op or worse. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  6. There was a curve prior to the house that I came through way to fast. There was an suv oncoming that crossed into my lane when I tried to pass him on his left he came back into his lane. By that time it was too late ti go back to my lane so I ditched it at 70mph hit the culvert and went airborn Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Alright I'm home I'm battered and bruised. There is video just how much I don't know. My bike is definitely totaled. Doc says I'm incredibly lucky that all I did was fracture my L3 + L4 vertebrae "winglet". Says there's no worry on being paralyzed since the fractures aren't part of the vertebrae that houses the spine. Other than that, my entire left side is bruised like hell. I did have my camera rolling and Its safe to say there will be no video of this. To much incriminating evidence. Suffice it to say, I was riding far outside my limits combined with speed. I was head southbound on this road that ive ridden a hundred times as I said It was a combination of stupidity and riding outside my skillset. I was ATGATT as usual, but this day was just stupidity taking over. below is the map of the road prior to of and where i landed. I was traveling southbound when a combination of speed and stupidity caused me to hit 2 culverts and go airborn, the first culvert is north of the phone box by about 100 ft, the second culvert is next to the phone box. My bike and I landed about 175-200 feet past the county road side on the east side of the road. The point marked with A is approximately where I left the road. http://goo.gl/maps/UORDO
  8. Maybe hate is a bit strong, how about strongly dislike?
  9. Some of the bmv's are horrible there are those that aren't. But it is the asshole public that make most bmv employees to turn into assholes. I sat in my wifes office one day and watched a guy call her every name in the book including a racist whore. All because he didn't want to prove his place of residence. So yeah if the public didn't come in with a stick up their ass all the time some of these places wouldn't be as bad as they are. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  10. I'm pretty sure a lot of it is his anti gun position at how he thinks/says gun owners have small dicks. His comments of Chris Kyle made me hate him and its hard for me to actually "hate" a person Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  11. When that happens log a complaint with the state bmv Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I've seen to many people have problems right out of the box. My buddy Jake bought one new and it had fte right out the box due to a improperly fitted ejector. Yeah they fixed it with a new gun but I won't own one. It also doesn't help that they weigh as much as a brick either. I like glocks as they are a great duty gun and can take some abuse. I personally own 2 Springfield Armory guns. An Xd9 for target practice and eventually IDPA, and my carry gun is an XDs .45. Both have close to 1000rounds through them without a single ftf, fte, stovepipe, light strike, or any other malfunctions. I would carry a glock but everyone has them so I wanted to go a different route. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Im gonna have to get with some of you Cincy riders and go with yall to Ky some day
  14. I realized im not as young as I used to be and my exercise habits have kicked my ass. I walked almost 3 miles the first day and then the following morning another 3.5 miles. Was in a lot of pain in my knees and shins, realized after the fact what it was, was shin splints, and my knee is just fucking tore to hell since I hyper-extended it in the navy so its gonna hurt regardless till I get my tolerance built back up

  20. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2013/05/13/report-raises-concern-about-glock-handguns/ Ive not heard about this myself but I did find it interesting that some people are blaming the problem on the ammo used. MIAMI (CBS4) – A never before released report by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office raises questions about the reliability of the Glock semi-automatic handgun used by its deputies. Obtained by CBS4 News, the confidential sheriff’s department document outlines a series of incidents in which problems with the Glock firing pin caused the gun to malfunction and not fire. check the link out for the rest of the story and the video
