He claims there is a title issue that needs resolved in Minn. He won't be there till thanksgiving. I would not do any work or payments on the car till I had the title. I think I may end up passing on this deal though.

Basically if I purchase it am I going to have any problems. I have no idea who the guy is. He is just a friend of my mom's friend. He abandoned the car in her driveway in 2007 and asked her to drive around the block weekly. She stopped after 2007 ended because the tags are expired. It has a Minnesota plate. All I know is he left Ohio instead of facing his DUI charges. The vehicle has body damage. I guess I am worried about a DUI hit and run or something a long those lines. If the vehicle was used during a outstanding DUI in which there was property damage or personal injury could it be seized from a new owner as evidence?

Does anyone know someplace that will do this? I am looking at buying a SUV and the guy skipped state because of some DUI problems. How do I make sure the car is clean?

I don't know what your ballot looked like but mine was 4 pages. I did not vote on every section. Things where there was only 1 option or no one I liked were left blank. However, I find it hard to believe there was not 1 single person or topic that you could find worth voting for. Possible...maybe, hard to believe....VERY! At the very least I would assume there were local issues such as levies, liquor license, etc. that you would either have a yes or no opinion on.

They are scheduling about 3 weeks out. They put everybody beyond that on a sub list for filling in no shows. Each week they will schedule one more week. You may be on that list or you may be in a category that is currently full.

Hotwire.com 5 star or better hotel only and check prices. When I went to Mexico I payed $79/night for a hotel that listed $379.99/night as their cheapest room (according to the sign at the front desk). Nicest place I have ever stayed.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Never had a need for it. The farthest it has ever been is MAG and I know how to get there. Other then that it is just on property.

On Bethal in the same shopping center as MicroCenter there is a costume shop that has the typical strip mall stuff and a rental section with higher end costumes. I have never looked through their rentals so I don't know how good they are.

We used to vacation in Juarez every year. Park in the US and walk across the border for a day trip. It is amazing what has happened in only 10 years.

The American model wasn't available. They had technology we wanted to test. They happened to have their magazine car stateside so they dropped it off at our garage. We beat on it for a few months and now it is sitting out in the other bay.
