1. In terms of the world colored, I wouldn't say that "colored" is in any way reclaimed. That's just more of a very old-school reference that wasn't mean to be derogatory back in the day but now with everyone shifting to the more politically correct African American phrase Colored is considered offensive to many. I still use and the word black to describe people of color.

Funny side story: My dad was the victim of an attempted car jacking on Morse road near his work. When the cop showed up to take the report my dad was describing the two guys and said "black males". The cop who was a black guy got very upset and said "Don't you mean African-American?!" My dad's reply was simply "I have no idea the guys country of origin or his citizenship however I do know they were black just as I am white in your report and not German-American."

2. Finally a step in the right direction.

http://www.hlntv.com/article/2012/05/23/pit-bulls-no-longer-deemed-vicious-ohio

Pit bull owners in Ohio will no longer feel like pariahs simply for their choice of dog breed. A new law takes effect May 22 declaring that pit bulls are no longer automatically considered "vicious" dogs.

"When pit bulls were labeled vicious, residents who love their dogs were afraid to take their dogs out in public," said Marlo Slusarski, director of community outreach for For the Love of Pits, a nonprofit rescue group based in Northeast Ohio.

Since 2003, pit bulls have been legally considered vicious dogs and banned within the city limits of Cincinnati. The city council approved a motion last week removing pit bulls from the ordinance that defines a vicious dog.

This week, state lawmakers have joined the push, overturning the state law that defined pit bulls as "dangerous and vicious" dogs. The Ohio senate voted 27 to 5 in favor of House Bill 14, removing pit bulls from the 20-year-old definition, which will now define "vicious," "dangerous" and "nuisance" dogs without regard to breed. The new law, however, will not overturn pit bull bans in Ohio communities that have passed local laws.

The change in language will now allow pit bull owners to be eligible for standard insurance premiums, and shelters will be able to advocate for the adoption of pit bulls. For the Love of Pits is celebrating the new law by offering free vaccinations for pit bulls of low-income Cleveland residents.

For complete details, see House Bill 14.

3. WARNING:

As of Sept. 30, 2011, concealed handgun licensees are no longer required to carry handguns in any particular manner in a motor vehicle. However, you should carry it safely and securely. The handgun should be carried so it is not accessible to unauthorized persons. If you are planning on carrying a concealed handgun while driving, have your concealed carry license and another piece of valid government identification in your possession.

In addition to the concealed carry prohibitions detailed above, Ohio has strict laws concerning firearms in a vehicle. If you do not have a concealed handgun license, you may not transport a loaded handgun in any manner where it is accessible to anyone inside the vehicle without leaving the vehicle. If you do not have a license, you may not transport a firearm in a vehicle unless it is unloaded and carried in one of the following ways:

• In a closed package, box or case;

• In a compartment that can be reached only by leaving the vehicle;

• In plain sight and secured in a rack or holder made for that purpose; or

• If it is a firearm at least 24 inches in overall length and if

the barrel is at least 18 inches in length, it must be in plain sight with the action open or the firearm must be stripped. If the firearm is of a type in which the action will not stay open or cannot easily be stripped, it must be in plain sight.

Statutory Reference(s): ORC 2923.16(E) governs how licensees may transport loaded concealed handguns in motor vehicles.

ORC 2923.16(B) and © govern how firearms must be otherwise transported in a vehicle

4. Drums are $5 a piece at the salvage yard my friend uses near Kenton. As far as the road tax and off-road fuel. Off-Road fuel has a red dye in it if I remember right and they dip your tank looking for that red dye. From what I heard it will dye MANY tankfuls after the one that actually had the dye in it.
5. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
I agree that since it is a federal form and under federal law marijuana is both illegal and a controlled substance and both are specifically stated, that you would have to check the box marked "Yes".

6. i wasnt able to read the article (browser wont pull it up), however does it say anything about the cages you put up over the back seat in suv's or having the animal in a cage. if someone get a ticket and the animals are restrained in such a was as i described above then the way the law is written is stupid in my opinion.

Dogs can be placed in harnesses that click right into the seat belt buckle. Cats don’t take well to harnesses for the most part, so they need to go in a carrier. And the carrier needs to be buckled down.
I know you couldn't read the article but this is the last piece of it. I assume if they are suggesting your cat in a carrier and the carrier buckled in that a dog needs to be buckled in or in a carrier and the carrier buckled in. Time for a 4'x8'x4' cage in the back of your pickup with a ratchet strap or other seatbelt device over it or a similar cage in the SUV?

7. The stupid thing is it includes animals in the back of a truck. No projectile issues to occupants of the vehicle, no problems with the animal in your lap, etc. In some states (I was gonna say most but I can't prove that) adults in the back seat or in the bed of a truck are not required to be belted.
8. In looking to my next project, I'd like to know what laws in the state of Ohio prevent a child from sitting in the front seat of an older, pre-airbag vehicle (pre-1965).

Obviously I don't want to hear from people how unsafe this would be...just wanting to verify that a seatbelt would be sufficient for buckling in an approved booster seat, or if this is illegal. Thanks!

Why is there all this talk about airbags? He obviously knows the danger besides stating that the vehicle will not have airbags. As far as the legality, I believe it was stated earlier, under 4'9" or 8 yrs old (I thought it was 9) and they have to be in a booster. I also believe if it is a minor they have to be belted. I believe if it is a pre-1968 car you don't have to have any belts (that is the year they became mandatory safety equipment in all US cars).

9. I would love to go on saturday but i work 8am-4pm. Is there a site with all the dates or is it just every saturday?.. Sticky tires aren't suitable for street, or just some? I downloaded the pdf of the scca rules, and was wondering if using energy suspension bushing kit would bump me out of stock. we can order it at work for 179.99, the shifter is wobbly and the bushings for that are in the kit.

While I agree with most people here about run it as it is right now, to answer your question not all sticky tires aren't suitable for the street. The Direzza StarSpecs that were mentioned earlier are great. My boss told me about them because he used them as rain tires for his Auto-X car. I bought them for my car and ran them year round (lots of people didn't recommend it for winter use but, I never had a problem). I got good life out of them and great traction 3 seasons of the year and not terrible in the winter.

10. I met my wife on HotorNot.com 9 years ago. I was mainly just looking to meet girls in the area because I had just moved here and tend to be rather shy in person. We talked for a couple months and then finally went on a date. We have been together since and I couldn't be happier. I did have a couple unfortunate dates before that though. Nothing serious, just girls that did not look like there pictures at all. I am sure they were nice people, there was just no physical attraction.
11. Maybe some professionals, but not me or any of the guys I have ever worked with/managed/sold tools to. In my time working on cars, I have only seen one car we couldn't get the wheel off of. In that case, which was exceptional, we had to cut the damn thing off. It is not worth the risk of damaged to the wheel just to use an air hammer (one slip can really fuck up a wheel). Take your time and you'll be able to get it off. Like most things, their are many ways to get the job done. There are some ways that I prefer over others.

Same here. I have seen guys do the air hammer trick and I have also seen guys destroy a customer's wheel. I bought the set for doing it properly and we only had one wheel we couldn't get off. We ended up taking the center bearing cap off and pulling the drum and wheel off. Even once it was on the ground and we could try different methods, it never came apart. The customer bought a new wheel and drum.

12. I would highly recommend going to Page 71 and starting there. I had a car that I enjoyed driving and my boss was trying to get me to come out and try Auto-X. I looked at the SCCA rules and I would have been far outperformed by car capability and driver experience for the class my car fit into. I may decide to try it with the stock class when I get another toy. (I am done doing the race on the weekend and drive to work during the week. To much stress if something breaks.)
13. They have no phone service, no live support, only email.

It's a obvious front, probably a multi person operation.

They do have live support. Above that look at this http://onlinequickdrop.com/security_center.html. It appears that they are trying to be legit. Otherwise they would love to take Western Union and Moneygram. Most of the threads about being scammed by this company that I could find involved money going straight to the seller not OQD or Western Union which they say not to use.

14. How are we supposed to be entertained if the information is not posted for us?

No lolz ensued.... was featured in busted magazine for a rape arrest. Was charged with rape and 3 counts of gross imposition. Was found not guilty on 2 charges by jury and pled not guilty to the other 2.
