What day are you planning on this for? If it's Saturday or possibly Sunday, I might be up for it. I don't know what pace you have in mind though...

The 919
All bagged up:

Dude Russia is crazy. No place to ride a motorcycle
Yeah, their drivers are bad enough anyone on a motorcycle there is probably safer riding like this than waiting to be hit by a car riding legally, heh.
-
Kind of tempting, but I feel like it's really too similar/doesn't do anything my current bike doesn't.
-
Interesting... I may have to rent an FJR for a bit before I decide to buy one.
-
my netted luggage always ends up falling down on my seat. Doesn't matter how tight the netting is. I might try some bungee cords with it.
Yeah, I could never rely on a net alone when I strap a duffel bag, etc to the bike. I used Bungie cords along with a net on my Bandit 600. I have soft bags on my 919 and if I need to carry more, I use Rok straps, they're a lot easier/quicker to set up than bungies.

Anyone got spare trailer space? If so, what time would you be leaving? I could only take Friday off this year, so I may be SOL til next time.
-
You can get a suction cup mount and put it on the tank. That's going to be the easiest way to get your gauges in view. I'm not aware of one that would attach to the triple tree bolt.

Last time I went was probably in 2009. At that time, there were probably at least 200 bikes. Haven't been since. Might be fun every once in a while, but I can't see a reason to attend very often. I'd rather be riding... That being said, it's been a while. I can't next Wednesday, but I could on the 12th if any of you are going then.
-
Ugh, I'd like to, but I'm on call this week
-
I plan on going. In person is better
Really? What's awesome. That'd be nice... One day, hopefully...
A little late but its 935 on time warner for Columbus velocity
Hmmm, I'll have to check that out. Not sure why their site says 1144.

I was somewhat looking into them as a sport touring option as they can be had relatively cheap, but from what I've seen, it looks like the riding position is more aggressive than I'd want in a sport tourer. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it's more aggressive than my 919 even, which after ~200-250 miles in a day can start to get a bit uncomfortable to me. I'm likely going to go with a 2006+ FJR1300 at some point.

i've got an 07 frame if you want to build a tracker
Thanks, but I really don't have the know-how, or space to do that at this stage, heh.

not hating on people who want to game on a PC....just think its ridiculous that people are suggesting that PC gaming is cheaper
Cheaper's relative, and depends on the length of time you're measuring, how many games you purchase and how often, etc. The initial investment in PC hardware costs a lot more, however games, especially when Steam runs their sales are FAR cheaper than console games. Older console games are typically ~$30-40, new $60, and $20 if they're ancient. When steam runs sales, the vast majority of the games in their catalog cost between $5-20. Now, if you use your PC for video editing, any 3D work, photo editing, etc you've already made the hardware investment.
So, console = hardware cheaper, but you'll likely be paying more for games, DLC, and subscription services to play online.

I agree....it almost makes me want to finally shell out the $$$ for a dedicated gaming PC.
Did this a long time ago when the PS3 and 360 started showing their age (around 2009). I've barely touched a console since. I may get the new consoles if their exclusives interest me enough, but overall, PC's the better platform.

if i had seen this earlier i might have meet you somewhere
Just got back. Was an ok ride on 541 and 83 except those pesky 4 wheeled things.
-
I'm gonna make some food here, then hop on the bike while the rain's holding out for the next few hours. Probably up to around Coshocton, then Wooster and back unless others have a route they'd rather take that isn't going than ~4 hours round trip.
-
If the rain clears up later in the day, I may end up riding, but probably not a very long one (maybe 541 to Coshocton and up 83 to Wooster then back), if anyone from Columbus/Central wants to meet up, let me know.
-
Forecast showing rain, we still riding?
I was about to get ready to leave, opened the door and it's already raining where I'm from... I might bail on this one. Rain's kinda scattered looking, but roads are going to be wet either way.
-
This will be my first OR meet up so lets make it good. I am all set to leave in the morning and hope to meet several of you
Yep, planning to be in Bolivar ~9:00 - 9:15 at DQ
-
I may be in depending on how long the ride is for. I'd like to be back to spend part of the day with the family.
You're free to break off the group when needed, but I'm expecting since we're meeting in NE and riding SE roads it'll probably be at least ~3-4 hours after we leave Bolivar til we're done in SE Ohio, so for me the ride to Bolivar = 2 hours + 3-4 of riding after meetup + another 2 back home means ~8 hours of riding... That might be a little tough for me, lol.

I saw sheriffs and locals ALL along 33 well into Hocking Hills.
They. are. everywhere.
Ughh... really? I hardly saw any last weekend around 374, 180, etc.
-
Right now, I have a pair of Fieldsheer Mercury 2 pants, a leather Xtreme Element jacket with removable CE armor for colder weather, and Joe Rocket Mesh with removable CE armor for warm weather. Also Tourmaster Response 2 boots for more casual riding or rain, Gaerne GMX boots for dry weather and more aggressive riding. Gloves: Alpinestars SPS (2008 version), and Drystars for rain/cold. Hopefully I'll be getting a full leather suit for doing a track day this season. Oh... and Bell RS-1 helmet.

whose all down for a ride?

Bah... missed this (completely forgot about it). Last Saturday I actually ended up riding alone around Hocking Hills.
Central - Double Crazy 8 Ride Ride

Sounds good, I think I may be game. Any plans to stop 1/2 way through for food/bathroom, etc? This is one of the first rides I've seen starting around Central OH recently, most I've seen have been NE and would take me a good 2 hours just to get to the start location. The main downside is it looks like the high on Saturday is supposed to be 90... I guess I'll probably be wearing the textile/mesh jacket instead of leather, heh.
