  1. Great seeing you guys again, Jason & Jen! Glad you made it down to sample some of our N Ky twisties. Bubba did pick some of the good ones on the east side of 75 (great route dude!), so now you can come back to enjoy the west side slew of curves, which are some of my favorites. Felt good getting back out there flogging ol' "Diceburg" again! Even though I'll be down in Tennessee next year in the new house, I'll still try to get back up here to ride the great roads of N Ky when I can. Always looking forward to new riding adventures, and good times with great riding friends!
  2. Thanks, Scuba, Hellmut, & all ! I do have an interested party that is maybe coming tomorrow to take a look, so I'll post an update if it's still available or not.
  3. Need gone. Price reduction to $3600....make offer.
  4. Bump........this is now listed on Craigslist & Cycle Trader.
  5. Naaaah....just trying to recoup expenses from buying the Burgman (3500), paying IRS (1000), and tires for my car & wifey's car too ($1800). As you can see, I'm gonna come up short as it is.....needing the dough!
  6. Thanks! I tried to post pics, but they may have been too big. http://localriders.com/forums/showthread.php?p=169742#post169742 https://www.facebook.com/rob.giles.18
  7. 2008 Yamaha FZ1 Granite Gray/Gold edition. This has all the specs & info for a stock model......... http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2008models/2008models-Yamaha-FZ1.htm Mine has many upgrades, plus you get the stock parts also, plus extras. If you like the factory gold forks & wheels, you'll like the many gold extras of..... radiator cover, bar ends, levers, chain, seat piping, & Yamaha logos (which are usually silver). Custom seat, Yoshi exhaust, Power Commander, Graves Velocity Stacks, wrapped headers, Yamaha Touring windshield, Carbon Axio tailbag, Carbon sliders & tank pad, 12v outlet on fairing, GPS ball mount on bar with case, LED Integrated tailight/turn signals/plate frame, custom front turn signals, tank bag, helmet & bag locks & cord, racing grips with Crampbuster, highway pegs, newer sprocket & chain, plus HH brake pads, 1" rear lowering link & 10mm lower in front (quicker turn in), Pirelli Angel GT tires, & always used full synthetic motorcycle oil. Dyno'd at almost 140 hp at rear wheel/164 mph/100 lbs torque at redline (I have the documentation). I'm the second owner (from 3/13) first was a salesman at a bike dealership. Always garaged, but has been ridden - currently 29K miles, & does have a few scratches (have colorite touch up pens, granite gray, & gold). Best sport touring bike I've ever owned. Was asking $4400, but since it'll need tires this season (and that's all it will need), price is $4000 firm. Reason I'm selling is I bought a Burgman 650 & I turn 62 yrs old this year. You can reach me in Union, Ky. (20 mi south of Cincinnati) @ Rob "Dice" Giles...home # 8five9-five34-083five. Leave message & I'll call you back. No test rides without MC endorsement & me following you. Cash only transaction at my bank (5th/3rd - 3 miles away), where clean title will be notorized. Check my Facebook home page (Rob Giles) under photos and albums for pics, or go to localriders.com where a couple of pics are posted there. They are too large for here.
  8. Hey Chuck, it's "Dice" here, one of the original "Free Riders" also, your "Ride Captain" extroidanaire! Small world out there! Glad you're back in the area again! I'm living in Union, Ky next to Florence now, down where we have 300 mile routes of some of the best roads northern Kentucky has to offer. Was just up the road from you a couple of months ago in Morrow, Oh buying a 2006 Burgman 650 Executive Maxi Scooter that I hope to put some miles on this year. Don't see many of the old club members anymore, unless I run into them down at Rabbit Hash on a weekend. Groups are having multiple benefit rides to help rebuild the burned down General Store this month (1st was yesterday), so it's been so crowded I've been riding away from that area lately. Another big ride again next Sat. If you'd like to get together sometime, I'm retired, and mostly free to ride whenever, so let me know. We ride a lot on Thursdays (this week's weather looks great for that), where we ride the back roads, get some lunch, and enjoy the less crowded routes. We also do yearly trips that include the best roads from here to W Va, Va, Tn, NC, Ga, where we have lots of great routes we ride daily once we get down there. Sat & Sun works too, if that's your only free riding days, but I sometimes have family commitments (happens with 10 grand kids lol!) on weekends at times. Would be great to hook up and reminisce about the club days with you, so give me a shout. Send me a private message with your phone number & I'll give you a call.
  9. Hey Dean...welcome! Give me a shout anytime if you'd like to hook up and explore the great roads here in Northern Kentucky. I'm free during the week, and sometimes weekends too....just give me a day or two notice on when you're free to ride, and we'll make it happen. Call me at 8five9-five34-083five.
  10. I want to thank everyone for a great day of rockin' the backwoods! Started with 12 bikes, 2 split off at 356 & 27, 4 split at the Shell in Williamstown, 1 split at the restaurant, but we added 3 there, 1 split at the Shell in Falmouth, but we added 3 more there.....leaving (I think) 10 to make the finish at Rabbit Hash. Want to thank Greg for sweeping, & Bill for leading some. Hottest day of 2015, and the average pace matched the temp, & even a little hotter at times....I know that for sure, cause my rear tire is toast (cord showing)!!! Got blocked a couple of times by slow cagers, but really very little for as many miles that we logged (I got 335)....so pretty much a lot of wide open, traffic free stretches of some of the best twisties northern Ky has to offer! I second Bubba's sentiment about the safe, accident free, riding of the entire group all day, especially with the less than perfect road conditions at times, plus new roads to some.....super job by all! Only one pucker moment when a pickup pulling a trailer left turned into a side road in front of us, but the trailer didn't clear our lane in time. Luckily there was no one coming in the other lane, cause it would have left us with nowhere to swerve around. Great weather, great food, great curvy roads, & a great group of rider friends to share it with! Couldn't ask for a better day! Hope to get some new tires and get back out there Dice'n & Slice'n again in a couple of weeks. See ya' soon, & keep it safe everyone!
  11. Cincy peeps, I hope you'll ride south and join us! If 8:30 is too early, then get to Williamstown at noon....cause the best roads are after lunch! Let's ride!
  12. The weather channel says 76/59 sunny 0% rain. MSN weather says 76/54 mostly clear 0% rain. Weather Underground says 76/59 clear 0% rain. Accuweather says 76/58 clouds & sun, no rain. WCPO weather says74/55 partly cloudy 10% rain. Unless this majority forecast goes to hell in a hand basket by late Friday, then this ride is officially all systems go.....ON! Looking forward to a good turnout! Hope to see ya' there!
