It's a little far south of you, but Schmidt auto care in springboro Ohio can take of you. Try specialize in this sort of work.

If you ride both back to back, I'm sure it's splitting hairs really. The drz feels a little more gutsy off the bottom end, and responds a bit better to modification, but I'd take the ease of fuel injection and the reliability of the Yamaha. The Yamaha is designed as a street bike, the drz is a modified (detuned) Dirtbike for the street.

I'm not sure what top speed is, but I've seen them hold a 70 pace on ky back roads. They're an awesome mountains bike. Basically, they're a Yamaha drz400sm that's fuel injected. I have taken a few laps on the kart track with one. They're a little heavier (around 300lbs) like a drz. You can run decent laps once you get the suspension dialed. They are down on power compared to an mx 250f, but they'll hold their own.

I'm still waiting to hear back from comp. they called me this weekend and said my recall parts are on back order, but supposed to release on the 24th. Not really sure when they'll get them. I may just go get my bike this week regardless of the recall, because honestly... They've had the bike in their possession almost the entire Time I've owned it. I'd kinda like to ride it... Lol

I walked by that truck, but at the time, no one was around. I was parked behind the NJ crew basically on the other side of the parking lot. Unfortunately, being late didn't afford me choice parking, haha! I was riding the Suzuki rmz450 with rock star graphics and was walking around with my girl and usually our little jack Russell.

I had a great 1st weekend with the OMRL group! Got there a little late Saturday and ran really bad times in practice, lol! Unfortunately the clutch on my sumo went Sunday mornings practice. Quickly prepped my little 60, had no practice and qualified last in F2. Really appreciate those in charge for allowing me to switch classes at the last second and even having a chance to be out on the qualifier. Decided I didn't want to stick around for the last race if I couldn't be competitive, not with a 5 1/2 hour drive ahead of me. Looks like I have some bike repair/setup to take care of, then I'll definitely be going to another round! Thanks again for the fun weekend!

I think you'd really enjoy the WR. Personally, between WR and drz, I'd take the WR.

I'm pretty close to G&J as well. I'm always willing to loan out my little green bike. It's like riding a chainsaw! I've heard the opposite. Big bikes on g&j's front straight pull in the high 90's for trap speed if you're turning decent lap times. As long as you're on the "moto" loop, its actually a pretty stretched out track where im up in 3rd and sometimes click 4th on my 4 speed 450. When I'm on the little bike, I spend a good portion revving out 6th. If you use the kart lines, it's super tight... So much so that it takes the fun out of it. Even on the little bike. I rode a DRZ around G&J, it was piggish feeling compared to my RMZ (but I figured it would be). I also rode a wr250x around G&J. It was pretty much the same as the drz and both felt "like a street bike". Something interesting about the wrx: the motor is actually 1 cylinder of an r1 engine. That's why it has the longevity. If you want a street friendly/lower maintenance/reliable/proper sumo: wr450f converted. Or even a crf450x

I'm a big buell, and now EBR fan. I've actually been waiting on this bike for years. Unfortunately, EBR took a little longer than originally anticipated and I ended up purchasing a different bike. I think the performance for this bike will be very on par for the competition and price tag. Aesthetically, I wish they would have gone with a shorter, more lightning-esque subframe and seat. I absolutely love that all software for TC is produced in house. They do, however, need to figure out ABS. All their competition has ABS. I believe these bikes will sell well, to aficionados. I don't think hoards of new buyers will be beating down EBR's door. It's a bike made for buell people by buell people.

I'm a firm believer in using the traditional German torque spec on my equipment. Gooduntight. When in a pinch, I'll use two stroke torque spec... Which requires the use of a powered impact tool. Brap brap!
