I wish fin was closer to me
-
I have experience on both, and they're both slow as hell. I do feel like the xr has better aftermarket support since its had a stronghold in racing since the dawn of time, and the grom is a newer model. I believe the grom is quite a bit heavier, which would offset the slight hp advantage. I think since the xr's chassis is longer, it's a bit more comfortable to work with. Which is an advantage in the xr's favor in my mind. Not to say both aren't a blast. I have a grom because its a street legal pit bike, I mean... What else do I need to say? lol. I just rode to work 20 some miles on it yesterday and laughed the whole time.

I'm up to race mine. I'll need to prep first. I figure it'd get motor'd by the xr's... But if there were a few other groms, we could duke it out.

What's initiation into grom reapers?
-
That sums it up perfectly. About the best bang for buck in the new bike category. Coming from a zrx, you'd thoroughly enjoy it.

I did 30k on a factory xbR seat. It wasn't bad. I always wore bicycle shorts (the kind with the maxi pad in the taint) for comfort and extra padding. If I were to upgrade, however, ...Corbin.

Meh, it's ok. There's a few disappointments. You can tell where they cut corners to keep within Japanese price range. I'd let mine go for 11k if someone flashed cash. I want a 1290 SDR. I'm beginning to dislike clipons.

Bump Price negotiable, trades considered.

There's no switch to disable it, I'm not sure if there's something as simple as pulling a fuse on those or not. Basically, they're really lame and will not let you have fun. They're also impossible to wheelie. Won't happen. I wanted to do the same thing you mention, except with scooters and do it at the gap. I'd sign the extra insurance policy, then pull my leathers out.

It's a 125cc 4 speed clutch I have an f2 bike, was considering making this legal if they have a grom class and it's big enough. I'd like to see how yours is setup.

Can ams have TC and ABS that don't allow this sort of behavior Lame

Wish I could. Have to work saturday

I just bought a grom, how big was the turn out for groms? Was there very much prep that went into the bike to make race legal?
-
Ordered one!

Fuck yeah! Sorry for the dirty words, but this thing has me excited. It's a street legal OMRL mini moto. What's better than that? I don't think I could get to the store quicker, I feel like I never have to leave WOT. I reached 59mph this weekend. I'm happy with that. Can't wait to hit the gap on this thing.

Wish I could have made it, hopefully next round I will be able to.

Man those can am people are pissed. If people don't wave at me, for whatever reasons they have, I promise I won't care. Waving is stupid. Ride for yourself, not other people's approval.

My apologies. Hopefully I chose a place to pass where I didn't scare you. It's a BMW k1200LT. I'm not opposed to leading groups down there, I know a couple roads in that area. You're more than welcome to hit me up and check out some other roads.

I may make it tomorrow...

Open to trades of equal value.

And no tv's! You can actually talk to people.

This. It has a 1000cc 4cylinder bike motor and weighs less than 400lbs. It's actually a bit disappointing.

New to the forum, need to people to ride with, have no one.

I live in that area too. Where 75 meets 129. There's plenty of us in that area and you're more than welcome to come on a Sunday ride to ky w/ the group. -
I actually prefer the tiny chassis, and the drum brakes are performing decent at G&J, havnt tried CRP yet. I have thought about upgrading to a 65, simply for rear suspension options. We'll see.
