  2. I'm up in Hamilton.

    I don't know what a motovlog is.

Pay attention to assfaultjunkies for cincy local rides in KY as bubba said.

Comet lounge in north side on Tuesday nights for two wheel Tuesday. All year long but best in the spring ofcourse.

I ride a bit of everything. if it has two wheels, I dig it.

    See you around.

  3. Hypertard - winterized

    Duke - winterized

    K1200LT - plugged tire

Tuono - wheels are out to powder coat

Supermoto - tearing down to frame for rebuild

R1 - installed rear sets with gp shift and currently tinkering with some new bodywork.

Big trailer - starting on the interior going to insulate and finish the interior. Thinking about wood floors and a fire place. Everyone needs a fireplace at the race track.

Small trailer - install pitbull restraint plates (plates and mounting hardware are only $30, so if you have a TRS, put plates in everything!)

  4. Will airbags even deploy at 15?

Yes. As long as the vehicle ignition is on and SRS computer's perimeters are met, the airbags will deploy at any speed. Think in the scenario of your sitting still at a stop light and are struck in the front. Your bags will deploy as long as there's enough force in the correct direction.

Just wanted to clear that up. Very sorry to the OP. I hope you are compensated quickly for this.

  5. Here at Apex Cycle and Salvage we're celebrating the biggest bar night of the year by offering discounts on any and all handlebars.

  6. Interesting points on the VTEC. I should try one to see for myself.

    What does a VFR800 weigh?

My brother has a line on an 02 or 03 BMW K1200GT. I rode one of these a couple years ago and remember it being nice. What is ownership like?

I can't give specifics on the k1200gt, but I do own a k1200lt... And love it.

Ultra linear power. Extremely reliable, extremely smooth. Rear wheel comes off in about 30 seconds for servicing. Low center (motor lays inline with the bike instead of parallel and sits on its side to get lower) great handling. I really have no complaints.

  7. Subaru started a full cvt lineup in 13ish. They're more recent.

Nissan went cvt damn near 10 years ago.

    Honda is on their way.

CVT technology has come a long way. They're actually great transmissions as long as you don't load them too heavily. The Nissan v6's had to be de-tuned due to a high torque output was smoking the transmissions. They resolved that issue some years back and have had much success since. So successful that other brands (see dodge) throw the Nissan unit in their cars.

Don't be afraid of the CVT unless you plan on towning. Even if the car has a tow rating (like most subaru's have a 2000lbs rating) I wouldn't test it.

The other weird part about the CVT's is servicing them. The fluid can be outrageous. Like $75/qt. some brands call for "lifetime" fluid, but I simply don't believe in that. Remember, car manufacturers only have to design parts to last as long as the warrenty. After that...

  8. I broke down and bought a snow blower.

I spent way more than I intended.

Did the driveway last night and I have to say, that snow blower was worth every penny.

100 yard driveway that's double lane and opens up into a 4 car wide pad in the back... 45 minutes.

I bet I could call off work and make more money running this thing up and down the neighborhood than showing up to work when it's snowy.
