    I has same experience with my Blackberry in an Otterbox when I hit a deer. Yes it takes away from the "thin",, Butt saving/protecting your phone so you can call for help is immeasurable.

    Keep away from AMERICAN MODERN inc out of Cinin, Ohio.. I speak first hand! Totaled my bike with a deer,,, they would not pay 100% on accessories, even thou the written police I had says it will... I hired an attorney who specializes in theses issues, a year latter I still only got 30% !! and of the Blue-Book-value all they paid was 90%,,, stating that the other 10% was profit & they do not reimburse profit.. Needless to say I have a new insurance co now...

    I'm on my third "Ultra" in ten years! I came up from a Soft tail. My first thoughts riding an Ultra was,,, Who fixed the roads? Much more comfortable riding the distances.

    =========== Take a good look at the BUSHTEC... They offer many, many more advantages! Independent wheel suspension with air adjustable shocks, the trailer tonge has a 360 degree swivel coupler. I pulled mine all over the 4-corners area and back home with no problem. * I too think the Ford axle idea is a bad idea to pull behind your bike.
