If you're going to do something, you should strive to be the best!

SR16 through WV, Burkes Garden, Marion VA, Smokies, Franklin NC, Blood Mountain, and anywhere else that my daughter can think of. We will be watching the weather and adjusting accordingly.

My daughter and I will be riding around down south during the last week of March. We're leaving on the morning of 3/26. We need to be back on Saturday night (3/30). Let me know if you want to meet up. We'll be 2 up on a Goldwing.

Thanks for the mini review. I’m not sure if I want to get another Concours and have 2 bikes or just upgrade to the newer Wing. The older Wing doesn’t quite cut it for solo rides. It’s a bit heavy for me to feel comfortable pushing it.
I can see riding the new Wing solo. It is definitely a lot sportier than the old one. I still have my Connie, so I can still ride at a decent sport bike pace when I'm in the mood. I'd definitely check out those 2023s that Tonik mentioned.

But wait Mike, you are not old. Why would you buy a Wing?
I'm getting older. These new Wings are great, and they are significantly more sporty than the older Wings. One of my daughters and I were riding it in the rain up to Coshocton for lunch on Tuesday. Thank God it was dry on the way home, so we could try out sport mode. Her quote: "this bike is going to be so much fun in the mountains. I can't wait!".
I have found my long term replacement for the Connie.

Nice ride, Mike. Is that a 6M or DCT?
DCT. I must be getting old. I never thought that I would like it, but a test ride convinced me otherwise.

I must be out of the EPA loop, because that exhaust looks 4-stroke to me. Congrats, either way.
NTS: Buy a dirt bike.
The photo was my KTM that I sold, and it was a 4 stroke. I'm waiting on the dealer to get my 2 stroke Husky. It should delivered in the next couple of weeks.

Shoot I’m frustrated I can’t go faster with the wing on the street. I used to wonder if I’d be better off with a slower bike. I now know I prefer a bike that is above what I’m willing to push it to. Dragging pegs was scary on the Concours. When the Wing touches down and unweights the rearend that is beyond scary.
If you have a passenger, it helps keep the rear end down. 😁

Dropped the KLR off at the dealer. Fuel pump recall. I hate other people working on my bike.
If it makes you feel better, you can work on my bikes. I like other people working on my bikes. 😄

We got all of the dirt bikes ready for dirt bike season. Afterwards my assistant watched the women's national championship game.

People like this make it so that honest contractors rarely have a problem getting work.
Construction is crazy right now!

If you want to go with gravel, use some filter fabric and 304 aggregate for your base coarse. You can top it with 57s, so you don't track the 304 onto your driveway when it's wet. 304 aggregate is what we use for roadway bases, and it tightens up well.

My daughters and I ride Wayne (and Perry).

Finished My 100K service on my Honda Ridgeline Bike Transport vehicle. T & Serp belt & Tensioners, W.Pump, plugs, all fluids. I have done two prior on my 2006 But......... This time it, "Kicked my ass" on the gravel driveway with stands. Up-Down, on my back, on my knees, on step ladder bent over inn the engine compartment over and over again. I am getting to old for this shit. But it's nice to save the money for motorcycle fun and being retired I should just STFU and get shit done and be happy,
I had a 100k mile service performed on my Ridgeline earlier this year. Thanks for confirming that I should pay someone else to do it. I don't have the time, patience, or skill to perform it myself.

Maybe next weekend works better for everyone?
What did you do to your bike today?

I've wanted an adventure bike for a while. I've ridden many gravel roads on the Goldwings, Connie, dirt bikes, and sport bikes. I came across a leftover 23 Husky, so I finally pulled the trigger:
