  1. If anyone has any hard feeling for Gee, I have two words for you: Karen Holbrook. I guarantee Gee will never complain about "drunken orgees" to another academic institution. OSU is a better institution for having his 2 terms as president. Too bad he couldn't practice a little more self censorship. Now, he needs to rescind his apology to Brett Bielema.

  2. I love my Sena SMH10 and it has proven its worth as a comm system on several long trips. Battery life is great and the speakers don't sound half bad. I can't comment on the tuner as the 10 doesn't have it, but I usually bluetooth it to my phone and listen to downloaded music or connect to Sirius. Also have connected it to my Zumo and listen to music and have turn by turn nav.

You can control the volume and change songs using the Sena when it is connected by bluetooth. My phone stays in my pocket and I control everything with the Sena unit.

    +1.

I enjoy my smh10. The latest firmware updates allow the use of ear plugs and still hear the music clearly. I have had phone calls while riding down the freeway, and the other person couldn't tell that I was riding a motorcycle.

  3. You probably won't go wrong with any of these sport touring bikes. They are by nature fun to ride, and they are set up for long distance touring. No one of them is perfect for everyone. When I was looking for one, I would occasionally come across some reasonably priced FJRs. I saw a couple in the 4k to 5k price range. The FJR has been around since 2003. Good Luck on finding one that fits your needs.

  4. I have slightly over 10,000 miles on my front PR3, and it is time to switch it out. The rear tire will not last as long as the front tire. I have ridden in heavy rain a number of times, and the PR3s perform really well.

  5. My family goes up there to camp for a long weekend every year. Our kids can float on river raft tubes, and the adults can float while having a few beers. We do use a floating cooler and solo cups. We always have a lot of fun. FWIW, we usually camp at the state camp ground.

  6. Rule #2: Always follow rule # 1, and you will be much more likely to wear the gear. ATGATT.

I don't like to buy certain items over the internet, like gloves and helmets. They all fit a little different, and it is better that you get the best product for your comfort.

  7. The Guhl reflash is a great modification on a number of Kawasakis. I had it done on my Concours. The secondary butterflies limited power low in the rpms. After the reflash, it felt significantly better. This big bike will even pull the front end up.

  8. A buddy and I went for a weekend trip for another buddies bachelor party. We rode motorcycles and brought them onto the island. We had our fill on the Friday night. We decided to leave on Saturday instead of the Sunday. We both had enough of overpriced beer, and it was a sausage-fest of DBs. Taking the long way home on motorcycles was the more desirable choice for both of us. Plus my fridge has an excellent beer selection, and the wife was happy to see me.

  9. You are more employable with a job. Taking this job will get you some additional experience, and it may give you contacts within the industry. Potential employers will see you as someone willing to sacrifice to be successful. Don't feel bad about taking the job and hopping when a better opportunity arises.
