TurboNova already posted pretty much what I would've, I'd say he's right on the money. LS motors are so easy with a little know-how and tweaking the computer.
Gm is still making cars. Seems like we've had quite a few lately with timing chain issues. From a 200 mile 2012 V6 Camaro, to multiple 4 cylinder Equinox this week. Just finished an Equinox with noisey chains.
Oh and that list sucks anyway, who cares?
What are you going to do put screw-in studs in it? I'm not sure how you'd have it splined for the normal press in studs, why don't you call Moser and ask them about your bent studs and see what they would do?
Parking lot of the Ohio Historical Society, yes. You can see 71 behind me.

was going to post this, a lot of those had 2 sensors, so this is very likely, Need a scan tool to see what the computer sees, and to see if its commanding it on, pretty hard without a scan tool, but you could throw a sensor on it and see.
Most likely not required, some of the lock-up functions can be adjusted to smooth things out. I doubt with a small stall like that it will be a big deal and you may not notice at all. As long as the converter has the same size lock-up clutch as stock it should have no adverse effect as wear. The factory will have partial lock-up at times and is why it's important on many converters, especially those with a smaller diameter and in effect a smaller lock-up clutch, to tune that out.
In my opinion if the converter is stock sized (deminsionally) and has a really mild stall like you mention I think you'll be just fine.
but does he wanna go fast?
MS4, T-Rex, Vindicator, Pollutor, any company's billy badass cam should work for you, just pick one, and make sure you've got the right springs and PTV clearance.
How's this for perspective?
If you use this cool little calculator http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php his 0-60 time is .81 seconds. That's faster then most things on the planet, except other really fast race cars.
Congrats Mark, that is really cool.
Like any man trusts random women to take their birth control, and yet there is a large market for that. Seems to me history indicates that birth control pills were looked at much the same way you describe this when it came out.
Let me start by saying that I'm not much of a deisel tech, but I looked up bulletins for your vehicle. Looks like there have been issues with the main engine harness connectors coming apart inside the connector, inspecting these for anything out of the ordinary or shaking them while the engine is running to see if it has any effect, not very likely but worth a shot.
There are also bullitens for sticking valves and fuel knock which is alittle more likely given your video. If you have an infared thermometer maybe you can gauge which cylinder is not working by finding the colder one. I would start by trying tonarrow it down.
