Well it sucks for the people north of Cbus, but I’m not even going to bother shoveling the 6 feet of driveway between the cars and the road. I didn’t realize all my neighbors had snowblowers. Heard that shit running all day, I’ll just clean off my car and drive over it in the morning. Fuck it.
-
You know I'm giving you shit. Regular radials wont do shit off the line for you in that car.
Yeah well everybody knows I didn’t build it for that. It’s not like I’m very good at drag racing a manual trans either. You can give me shit, it does pretty well with my dumbass driving it.
-
Says the guy with the 500 wheel vette going 12s....
Insert stiff suspension comment here. Also, remember that when you actually want to sell that car to let me know. Hopefully I have money when that day comes.
Yeah ok. It runs 11s. Hopefully low 11s this year. We’ll see.
Don’t think my wife will ever let me sell either car, hence why I just keep spending money on them.
-
Guess it's a good thing you didn't sell your cars any one of those 13 times you claimed you were going to, huh? :gabe: Simmer. This is also a joke.
Truth be known I probably would have sold them and bought something else if my wife hadn’t stopped me, and yet I would still have a fast car.
Anyway, where’s the call outs? I’m bored and you guys are all slow.
-
I just want to know if it’s going to be the car, or the driver on these lists. I suppose it needs to be the same car/same driver for a spot. I’d like to race both of mine but they are pretty close in performance so tying up number 1 and number 2 spots might prove problematic for the progression of the list.
-
Nobody here REALLY races. They attend 1 actual racing event and a weekend trip to a curvy road a year then talk shit to all the other members who have greater responsibilities for being at only 1 event per year.
...or they sold their "race car" and talk shit anyway.
Well I must be the exception huh? I still have the car I was racing 10 years ago, and bought another one I race too.
Kind of ironic to keep posting shit about how nobody here races and then admit you have nothing to race.
-
Once a month for these races since most have to do a lot of adult things. If you want show up and challenge for a spot at any event feel free. If you just want to come out and grudge race people, come on out.
This is really just about getting people to the track to enjoy racing and spend time with friends. There's no official money on the line but if you want to side bet, go for it.
The challenge that I'm facing now is how to set the structure of the list races to make sure it's not going to be a log jam and no movement in the top ten.
I think if someone wants to challenge for a list or a spot on the list you simply need 3 people present. The challenger, the challengee, and an observer. Observer can be someone else on the list or a CR admin, these 3 people agree ahead of time, and then you have a race.

I don't have my 4 wheeler anymore, but loved to ride.
I think what you'll find is most ATV guys don't like the side by sides, they take up more of the trail and are slower then a lot of quads. Same reason the dirtbike guys don't care for quads. In Wayne or Perry I can't believe they allow side by sides because most of the trails aren't big enough, and there's certainly no room for them to pass each other.

Soo.. where's Dyno Brian been at? He generally would host them.
Dyno Brian has plenty going on, I’m confident he’d be fine with Carlyle hosting it.
-
I didn’t take any video, but I went out to play last night too. First time I’ve had a 4wd truck, it was fun switching between 2 and 4wd.
-
Buy one and let us know how it goes. If the car doesn’t fall off and you don’t get hurt I’ll buy a couple of them.
-
Have you ever driven a high hp car on the street. They are fun as fuck.
Yes. True.
However the old "cheap, fast, reliable, pick two" adage is still true and I don't like junk. I guess I either need to get over it, or make more money.
-
Nice pics, but I have no idea who you are. Welcome, apparently this is a racing site this year.

:fa:
Just seems like everyone has a single digit drag car, or something that's quickish 13-14 second car. Hopefully I just have the wrong impression. I have no desire to own a car like that. 13s are too slow, and 8-9 second cars are either shitty on the street or expensive or both. Just not where I end up fitting in.
-
Mine may not be a c5 or 4th gen f-body, but it is definitely more of a road racing set up than drag. That still wont stop be from trying though lol. I am in the mix of 11-12 second car currently. Hopefully that is enough to be competitive.mine runs 11.8-12.0. I don't have any intention to make this particular car any faster. But I'd be down for some racing.Came here to say I have vehicles that will fit in all lists. I will be #1 on all of them.
Prove me wrong.
Happy to race all of you guys, have a few tweaks in the works but my cars are not changing much from last year.
-
Who's racing a "road racing/autocross" setup C5 at the drag strip?
Who's racing a very street minded 4th gen f-body at the drag strip?
I'll race anyone, but everyone knows close races are way more fun. So where are all the 11-12 second cars?

Define "Good Standing"
BAN!!

I prefer Buckeye Raceway, way easier to hang out between races especially when it's quiet and warm. GPIndoor is fun, but has to be ventilated because they're burning propane, so it's cold and noisey. The electric karts at Buckeye really reward better driving techniques too, so it's better for competition in my opinion.
I will go to either one, but you can see what I want.

This is what the new Lists are all about, getting people to do something.
Times change and people change but that won't change what this site was founded on. We just can run wild in the streets like we used to
My personal life is kind of on fire right now and work is a biblical mess so I will crank on this when I have time. Hopefully, I'll score some reliable assistance to make things work as needed.
I don’t know how reliable I am, and I’m sure my junk won’t compete very well on these lists anyway, so I’m down to help out since I’m sure I’ll be there regardless.

CR’s fastest: run whatever you have
CR street/daily: anything not on a drag tire (tire marketed for drag racing, ie drag radial or slick)
CR beaters: for those who have old rusty pickup trucks and Paul’s Grand Marquis
CR bikes: does it have two wheels? good race it, the rest of us don’t care
CR sneakers: for the rest of you brokedicks with no car and a gym membership
-
We need a list of people who actually show up, that’s probably under 10.
-
I’m in for some 40 rolls for $20.
-
I’m a solid maybe.

I’ve always heard talk of the Hartford and Lancaster fairs having pretty big events. You’ll probably find most of this stuff in the late summer and fall.
