    New Car

Those 305 3rd gens are much slower then 3400 V6 4th gens. Engine swap is the only way to make it fast. I wouldn't go through the hassle of converting to a manual, if you want a maual go by a manual car. Sticking a 4th gen drivetrain in there would be the way to go, its easy enough, but it would be cheaper to buy a better car if you want to go fast. LOL at the murderer comment.
  2. Well fine then, stick an LSx in a Prius or Yaris or Honda Fit or something like that.

    Joke

Thats a pretty old joke, but its still funny. "It's freaking hot down here" Lolz
  4. Have yet to see one in an HHR, you can be the first.
  5. That must of sucked, look forward to a video of that.
  6. Noobs who do shit like Ringokid get treated poorly yes, don't be that guy.
  7. I'll bet those cars beat you by about a fender? Well unless you're really slow. Get some pics up noob.
  8. There are quite a few differences, including engine mounts, but adapter plates are simple and plentiful. LS1tech has a conversions and hybids section you may want to check out. Overall with a few of the right parts it is pretty easy to do and there are lots of write-ups out there.
  9. Better get used to those type responses on this site. Check out Kilkare speedway in Xenia Ohio, they have drift events at least a few times a year, don't be confused as the place has a dragstrip too. As said before there are a few local clubs that do autocross.
  10. In all seriousness I doubt he gets a ticket, well maybe for impeding traffic.
  11. Doc, I'll tell you every time you let us come to your hang out, thanks, it is one of the coolest things someone could do for a bunch of parking lot geeks.
  12. Same cars, same area. Get what you want out of life, fuck what it costs.
  13. and thats why you'll be there.:gabe:
  14. I'll be taking the gayness to unseen heights, bring your husbands, bring your wives, Scott will be coming out tomarow night. Oh yeah!
  15. I've thought about builders, because I bet they would bend over backwards to get me into something. I bet it wouldn't be the best deal out there though.
  16. My daughter is in licking heights schools, so that area is at the top of my list.
  17. I've heard that there may be a few unicorns showing up, should be a great time.
  18. No, but I've never wanted to rush back into anything. However my wife has decided that she wants a house and since I've gotten about everything I've wanted for the past few years its time to make her happy. So its more for the family then me, but a garage I can work in would be nice.
  19. How long does a pre-approval last? or does it expire? I don't want to actually buy something until early spring.
  20. I will start by saying that I am not going to air my dirty laundry in this thread, I have made poor finacial desicions and I'll leave it at that. What I would like to do is get pointed in the right direction towards home ownership. I got in over my head 10 years ago when I bought my first home, so it was sold shortly after and I barely broke even. Being older and more experienced my wife and I have improved our money management, without any unsecured debt at all. So whats the best way of getting into the market, should I talk to realtors who are experienced and can help me get started, should I talk to lenders? If so who's experienced helping idiots like me with a crappy credit history? My lease is up around April and will be moving somewhere, hopefully a house, if not somewhere else. The place I've been at for the last 8 years is really going to shit and we need to move on. Thoughts and ideas welcome, fuck the trolling.
  21. It feels alot like an Aveo to me, no matter how you slice it, it's still a little throw away car. Intresting fact, the 1.4 turbo with an automatic is on restriction currently, so for a short time all you can get with the turbo is a stick. We have one at Dave Gill.
  22. I look at cars this way as well, but I've also learned to open my mind up to how cool some of these cars are. Doesn't mean I'd buy one, but thanks to the guys I've met at Cars and Coffee, Doc, Jones, and others I've developed more of an appreciation for these cars and how well they are engineered. Sorry OP for shitting in your thread, you have a very nice looking car.
  23. I agree with you, I'm more refering to people with short answers with no rhyme or reason. I don't care much for opinion as I do facts.
